I hate the Political Video board for several reasons
1. I am on dial-up and it seems to take a long time for the video to load.
2. Seldom does the poster add anything to the posting to entice me into taking the time to let the video load.
3. Seldom are there any comments from other DUers (Perhaps because the video says it all, and it doesn't seem to need any additional comment?)

1. Don't hate the forum; hate the dial-up.
I know what you mean, re: dial-up. I have high-speed internet here at home, but when I go visit my mom in Oregon, it's frustrating because she has dial-up, and yeah, it can take forever to get pictures, and videos especially, to load.

As far as the poster not frequently adding something to entice you to wait for the video to load, I think the answer to that is contained in your Point #3, that they don't usually need additional comment, either by the OP or other DUers, because the vids often DO say it all.

3. Reason # 3 is spot-on
The videos rarely give rise to dissenting comments, and thus little debate.

And tier 1 internet access sucks

Actually, that is definitely not funny. Just the difference between high-speed and dial-up creates an information gap. Corporations have already begun implementing a form of tier 1 and tier 2 access in the prohibitive cost of high-speed internet access. :(

2. I'm glad it's there to go see some things
I probally missed on teevee since I don't watch much but you are right about posters not describing anything. I most often pass it up, I just don't have the time to see what each one is about. I would be nice to see a little synopsis, just a sentence or two. And I wish the threads were at the botton on the latest page under breaking news which is more important.

4. I'm on dial-up too. Here's what I do.
I have two windows open. I download a video in one and keep doing whatever I'm doing in the other. It works really well for me. I don't get to see most of the videos, but I get to see some good ones.

Some description and comments would really help me choose which ones to watch.
