My call to Bill Nelson's office |
|
Edited on Tue Jan-31-06 01:00 PM by Not Me
Me: "Hello, my name is xxxx xxxx, I am a Democrat, I live in Florida and I want Senator Nelson to know how disappointed I am that he voted in favor of Judge Alito's confirmation."
Staffer: Oh but sir, "Senator Nelson voted against Judge Alito."
Me: "No, by refusing to join with Senator Kerry in the filibuster effort, he assured Alito the seat on the Supreme Court bench."
Staffer: "...well, er..."
Me: "Please let him know that I find this inexcusable, and something I am going remember him by every time the Supreme Court swings by Alito's vote."
Staffer: "U...um, can I have your zip code for our records."
- What a tool. I wish this state could put up a liberal democrat again.

I only wish that I weren't quite as civil as I was. I am really upset with these wimps.

... that he thought we'd be fooled by a "no" vote on confirmation when we all know that the "yes" vote on cloture is the one that really mattered. Do our elected Representatives really think so little of us?

Dr. Phool, our own DU'er, announced yesterday he is running for Bill Nelson's seat.
(edited to point up at the man himself)

8. Here's the E-mail I just sent him. |
|
Dear Senator Nelson;
Why? Why did you vote for for this man.
Our current President should be undergoing impeachment, would be were it not for the efforts of his party in blocking investigation after investigation after investigation.
What do you get for cooperating with these crooks? Are we going to see some cooperation on their part? How soon will the investigations get off the ground?
The NSA is probably going to read this e-mail before your office gets a chance to open it. Is that something you feel is no big deal?
Why keep giving and get nothing in return?
I'm sorry but this is the last straw. In the next primary I will vote for your opponent. I will contribute to his or her campaign and if he or she doesn't win then I will not bother to vote for you in the general election.
I want the Senator that represents me to be a better horse trader than you have show yourself to be.
Sincerely Disgusted
