5. I live in the heartland
and I am tired of all of this jingoistic and militaristic shit that achieves nothing but in more deaths and suffering.

If you want something that resonates in the "heartland", how about "If you support the war, enlist!"

a beautifully simple motto that says SO much to the scared people in this country who think Democrats can't protect them.
