Just looking at job posts |
|
Came across these two Companies KBR and DynCorp International and couldn't believe the jobs in Iraq. Some of these jobs are paying 80K a year tax free. This hard for me to understand it really upset me knowing that our men and women that are fighting over there and some on there 2nd and 3rd tour of duties and these guys that work for these companies are getting paid 80k and paid leave vacations. How can Bush say he supports our troops. We need to ask this question? Here are the job posts. http://jobsearch.monster.com/jobsearch.asp?co=xdyncx,xdynaerox,xdyncorpisxhttp://kbrcareers.webrecruiter.com/pls/kbr/maine.d?s=2362D56B641D47A6E0440003BA74E87F

1. Interesting, isn't it? These 'contractors' are doing things that once-upon a time, the |
|
military did for itself: building posts, roads, feeding the troops, driving supply trucks, etc. Now these specialty corporations, hire ex-military people at generous wages, charge the taxpayers for their 'services' and make obscene profits!

2. And guess who recommended that private companies take over much... |
|
...of the work formerly done by the military? That's right! Dick Cheney! And guess whose firm he recommended to be the primary contractor? Right again! His own: Halliburton! This, of course, was after he was asked to find a running mate for Bush 43. His recommendation? Himself!

3. ironically, the military pays taxes too |
|
and so not only are they running interference for private industry by using themselves as human shields, they're paying these guys their salaries.
If you made this kind of evil up in a science fiction novel, nobody would believe you. But it's for real thanks to the republicans (and the unfortunate democrats) who greenlighted Iraq.

I've heard a lot of soldiers are lured into doing this work. Why not? It's the same danger (or less) for 4 times the money.
