Rather than allow the Sunnis in Iraq to be massacred, SA has stated it will step up and defend them against Shiite attempts to wipe them out.

This is not unpredictable, but it sure holds the promise of much chaos and violence for our number one oil supplier in the Middle East.

The one fact that should perk up ears in the US is that Saudis will only take the handoff if the US backs off and withdraws. Sounds like a deal that the US cannot refuse.

The Saudis, as they always do, will do nothing. If it doesn't involve protecting the royal family's personal bottom line they don't give a damn. They won't even lift a finger for their own people, they never did anything about Saddam, and they certainly won't touch the clusterfvk bush has created.

And those sunnis the Saudis say they'll defend are the same sunnis they're murdering at home because they want to tear down the royal family. The most the Saudis will do is beef up their own border security.

The shiites and Iran have already won and the bloodshed is on bush's head and so is his responsibility for the islamic fundamentalist regime the Iraqis will be forced to live under.
