Commander in Chief
is being pulled from ABC's schedule due to low ratings.

Everyone I know watches this show, who are these people with the ratings boxes and what are they watching?

1. Must be people who don't want to think much
Hee Haw would be a huge success if they brought it back now.

Americans are getting dumberer and dumberer.

Follow the leader?

2. That really surprises me.
I thought it was one of the highest-rated new shows of the year.
Don't know what the hell ABC is thinking.

5. I think ABC is making a mistake.
It's a viable show with a big name attached to it. Everyone I know that watches it, loves it.

18. I watch it and I love it.
I guess Pravda has decided that it's not prudent to continue to show a COMPETENT Commander in Chief at work.

19. My mom and sis love it.
They don't think it's as good as "The West Wing" was during it's glory years but they still tjink it's a lot better then some of the other crap on TV.

8. Well, Bartlett was just about to leave office on TWW. Personally, I was
a big fan of the show until Aaron Sorkin left. The writing hasn't been the same without him, and I just stopped watching it. I suspect others did the same.

25. Or how a representative
government operates? I guess I have my :tinfoilhat: on; but it occurred to me too that both series show ideally how elected representatives of the people work in a bipartisan manner to serve the public good.

Perhaps it's time to pull the plug on educating our young on how the system was set up by that "goddamned peice of paper" and how the Commander in Chief worked within that government?

Just a thought.

We really enjoy the show and I thought it was a hit. Gina Davis just won a Golden Globe for best actress.
Do you have a link?

ABC should've moved it to another night. It can't go against that silly show or House (which I do watch). I enjoyed looking at the rooms and those paintings we've come to know in our childhood history books. Going to miss Donald Sutherland too. Rats, ABC, why are you doing this to your fans! Just move it to another day for crying out loud.

13. Am I the only one who's not surprised?
From all the bits of it I saw, the writing was terrible--bad macho cliche BS. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seemed to me to basically be a bad rip-off of The West Wing playing entirely off the gimmick of a female president.

if it wasn't on?? As far as I know there's only been one episode on since X-mas. I see it's not on again tonight-- replaced by reality TV-- "Jackass In Chief".

I enjoyed it--didn't like the fact that it was pulled over the hols. I thought they had a lot of interesting plot lines going for the show and the casting was superb!

24. Probably reality TV but I have to admit I don't think it is near as good
the West Wing was at least the first three seasons. At least Boson Legal is still on, I get a laugh out of that show. I always end the night with the Colbert Report.

26. The first two or three episodes were good, until...
Until ABC fired the show's creator, Rod Lurie, because he was taking too long to produce episodes. Rod Lurie is the guy behind some great political thrillers ("Deterrence" is one of my all-time favorites, as well as "The Contenders" and "The Last Castle"). He was what made the first few episodes but once he was canned, that was it, the show went downhill so damned fast...
