A suggestion to future democratic speakers-of-the-house

Since there are several committee positions to fill, and the heads of those committees are important ones, how about just having the WHOLE caucus nominate (in a private meeting...on PAPER) the names of 5 members for the top spot for the committee

then when there are 3 that rise to the top, hold another final vote..

When all positions are decided upon, destroy the nominating ballots and announce the winners and the vote count..

simple..

democratic

and unassailable by the lackey press.

(the seniority stuff is not foolproof, as we have all been shown this past two weeks, and opens up old wounds..)
