8. I suspect it's one of the more illustrious al-Sadr clerics....
Possibly Sadeq al-Sadr or Baqir As-Sadr, Muqtada's father and father-in-law, respectively.

4. Quite possible.
Personally think that he'd allow Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani to be head of state, and he would be something akin to Ahmedinejad is in Iran.

But Sistani is the most legitimate voice in the country. I think al-Sadr is smart enough to put up with him.

I think Iraq is a Cheney kind of environment.
I said long before this thing started that Bush will end of getting us cut off from ALL mideastern oil. Looks like my prediction is still on track.
