Reeper Strategist refers to "Barack Hussein Obama" on Hardball

Hurling middle names

On Tuesday's "Hardball," prissy Republican pundit Ed Rogers unveiled an edgy, sophisticated strategy to frighten people away from possible '08 candidate Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill: Pronounce his full name in an odd, stilted way, with heavy emphasis on the middle one. Maybe we should just start a "Hussein Watch!" feature where we keep track of this now -- lord knows we're going to be hearing it a lot in the future.

(His exact words: "Count me down as someone who underestimates Barack Hussein Obama.")

5. He also called Jimmy Carter a loser
He's a real piece of shite.

SHUSTER: Given that Iraq is the dominant subject, why not Al Gore? I mean, do you really think he would be such an easy target for Republicans?

ROGERS: I love the idea of Jimmy Carter picking the next Democrat nominee. From one loser to another, from Jimmy Carter to Al Gore. That suits me. But having said that, it's no secret Republicans are for Hillary. We want her to run. She's probably the person we have the best chance of beating in a general election.

But Al Gore is pretty tired. That's no new energy for the party. He‘s a lousy performer. I mean he—you know, Al Gore, plus 60 pounds, is he going to do better than he did in '04?

7. I HATE that man. He was on last night with Joe Trippie
and Trippie was not allowed to finish one sentence because Rogers interrupted him every time he tried to make a point...typical repuke tactic.

OK...now we know how they're planning on going after Obama....his middle name. If that doesn't work, they can always fall back on the tried and true "assassination" method of winning elections.

8. I saw Tucker do the same thing yesterday.
This is definitely going to be something you hear trumpeted often throughout the RW psycho world for the next week or two and then the corporate media is going to start asking if it's a problem. It's all too predictable.
