CNN's coverage of SOTU to feature only one progressive opposite three conservatives

(Will Pitt is right - don't bother watching the spin afterwards)

According to the weblog TVNewser, CNN's January 31 coverage of President Bush's State of the Union address will feature three conservative commentators but only one progessive commentator. The January 31 TVNewser post, which detailed the State of the Union "coverage plans" for the major cable and broadcast news networks, indicated that CNN will feature former Reagan administration Secretary of Education Bill Bennett, former Bush administration official Victoria Clarke, and former Rep. J.C. Watts (R-OK). Democratic strategist Paul Begala is the only progressive commentator scheduled to appear on CNN, according to TVNewser.

4. That's why we're #44 among the world's free press!
By next year, CNN will help us beat out even more dictatorships ~ and why didn't Paul Begala refuse to go on a show with a bigotted, hypocritical gambler and a late-night, infomercial, conman? So glad I cancelled them ~

2. PBS is just as bad.
Find me a show (OK, other than NOW) where the number of progressive talking heads comes close to the number of conservatives.

5. I think Begala can take them all on. Watch. It is not such a bad
idea. Three against one - Begala can say what he really wants to. Just watch!

And nobody can claim it was too "Luberal". I think it is great news.

11. I saw Begala and Carlson speak; Begala was an idiot!!
TC spoke about Kerry; Begala told a stupid anecdote of Carville speeding, going 100 miles per somewhere, with wife and child in the car, getting stopped by a cop and being mouthy to him. Good grief.

12. I think he is better in debate situations - than in interviews. The
way it is for politicos.

I am hoping CNN's new conservative pundits means that the democratic ones can now say what they really mean.

Perhaps I am naive?

8. It's all that political capital - that completely dominating 51%
of the votes (not counting the hacking). For 5 years I've been saying and continue to say - where is the outrage???

10. CNN sold out
I agree. It is always more fucked up right wingers talking and a few level headed liberals. It is all about the money. They are a corporate interest and they want business. To hell with the regular people. They will fuck you over in a heartbeat.

The dumbass cowboy and his feeble minded cohorts are gonna screw this place up for a long time if we don't elect more liberals to governement. Progressives, Liberals - I don't give a rats ass what you call yourself - but, goddamnit defend yourself. Your views are superiors. Your motives are superior. Why let yourself be bullied by the narrow minded fuckwads on the right.
