The truth has so many enemies... |
|
That operate under delusions, illusions, and outright lies. Governments have used these falsehoods for years and years to keep their followers deluded and propagandized. The Iraq War is only the latest example. We can go back to Vietnam and beyond. The people in power depended on lies to further their imperialistic and militaristic agendas.
However, those times may be changing. Those in power will continue to lie and distort their intentions, whether it be to establish "democracy" in the Middle East or to stop the spread of "Communism" in SE Asia. But they are now being challenged on their lies as never before. People are willing to talk about the truth and the facts about events that happen as they really are, rather than as they are defined by those in power. Sorry about that, Dubya.

1. I'm starting to wonder in the inverse of when has the Government |

told the truth outright? Haven't we been lied to one way or the other throughout the years? Even history is full of holes due to the half-truths and the omissions.
