9. speaking of, yesterday i was in convenient store and hearing music

the song sounded so familiar. i listen, trying to place it.... it is the dixie chicks i am not ready to play nice or whatever. i was so thrilled to hear it here. i asked cashier if it was a local station and was going to call and pat them on the back. is a satellite feed, so i guess not. but did thrill me to no end. love the song

11. kids got to stay home. we were suppose to get only an inch. told son

start doing his dance, maybe get more. yesterday on the way to school, kids so excited as cold front was coming in. temp in car was 38. told son, start talking it down.(was in garage, i knew it would drop as i drove), so he started bring temp down and talked it down to 27 by the time we made it to school. was so funny. so last night wishing in all his powers for lots of snow, to wake up to 4-6 inches and no school just made his day. he is thinking he has some power here.

pretty cold. feeling a lot like christmas...

5. Last couple of weeks we have had an unusual number of those

HUGE twin rotor military helicopters flying along the Van Nuys-Oxnard corridor here in LA. Something in the works at Port Hueneme??? Navy action?

At the Tucson, AZ airport, I saw 10-20 fighter planes landing & taking off, after-burners & all. The sonic booms would go off every 5 minutes or so. It was kind of cool. Maybe there's a military exercise going on?

13. Yes, during the height of the blizzard here in wa state, jets were roaring & booming...

We had incredible wind and snow here this week, beginning Thanksgiving night, and on both Sunday and Monday, during the worst part of the storms, jets from Whidbey Naval Base were doing some weird maneuvering across the Cascades...hearing them above the howl of the wind was ominous and frightening. Being snowed in, with no road access or power and trees crashing down everywhere, listening to "the sounds of freedom" is the last fucking thing we need!
