Socialist senator to push Congress from left
Great article/interview about Bernie. It's clear that he's going to speaking up in the Senate in same way he did in the House.

BURLINGTON, Vermont (Reuters) - From pressing for hearings on Iraq to probing no-bid contracts awarded to Halliburton Co., America's first socialist senator aims to give Congress a hard tilt to the left.

Bernie Sanders, a 16-year veteran of the House of Representatives who swept 65 percent of the vote in Vermont running as an independent in the November 7 elections, says Congress owes voters an exhaustive probe into the White House.

"It is time to ask some hard questions. Why did we go into Iraq and what did the president know and when did he know it," Sanders said in an interview in his Burlington office on a hillside above Lake Champlain near Canada's border.

"The war in Iraq has been an absolute disaster and it's absolutely imperative that America never again goes that route. That's why we have to ask those questions," he said.

2. Yeah asking for accountability from our President?
What a whacko socialist idea. Only a crazy extreme tilt to the left kind of guy could come up with that. And if that wackiness wasn't enough - he suggests that we not repeat this mistake? What a crazy socialist.

Thank you liberal media.

5. Bernie handles the media just fine.
And I gotta say, this was actually a pretty decent piece. I love that Bernie's using the phrase, "What did the President know and when did he know it?". I also love the fact that Vermont gave him 65% of the vote.

9. Vermonters love Bernie
Everyone does even a lot of republicans. It's because people can tell he really cares, it's no act. I've seen him on a number of occasions just talking to people, I myself have talked to him a couple of times. He's exactly like you'd think he'd be, what you see is what you get. Leahy is the same way, I've always been very impressed with how approachable they both are. They've answered every email I ever sent them even the form ones.

Leahy sent a personal letter to my daughter after she sent him a letter about her concern about acid rain. We ran into him at a parade a year later and he remembered the letter and talked to her for awhile. They are truly great men and Vermont and the US are very lucky to have them.

Vermont Rocks!
