What have the Republicans learned from the recent election?? |
|
I read today that they plan on pushing some type of abortion legislation thru the House before they become the "minority"? Even though the Senate would not take it up, they would do it as show to their "conservative" supporters. They seem to still be clinging to their right-wing divisive politics? Will this issue still work for them? Or are people looking for more substantive issues from the Republicans and the Democrats? Does this mean they have kissed and made up with the "religious right" or are they simply trying to woo them back into the fold??

2. Not a Damn Thing, By All Appearances |
|
Nor can we expect learning in a bunch of corrupted and closed minds.
Chaffee learned something--if he changes party, he might make a comeback even.
The rest are due to be outsourced.

3. It's Impossible For Them To Learn |

According to them, they really didn't lose, so why should they learn anything from it? And that's fine w/ me, they will become irrelevant.

Republicans see that Bush is going to bring them all down, if they won't do something to send him home.

7. They learned it's important to govern with bipartisan cooperation |
|
and by "bipartisan cooperation," they mean they say the word "bipartisan" a lot, do whatever they were going to do anyway and the Democrats should shut their pieholes about it.

aw, jeez, laughing at my own joke and it wasn't even that funny.

13. Same thing they learned during Reagan. |
|
People won't actively support them if they know what Republicans really want. That Republicans must use stealth and usurp the lawmaking process in order to gain control. Just look for them to be even sneakier as they lament that the public won't willingly bow before them.
