Any Billmon/Whiskey Bar fans here? I need to know if his site is down, or if it's just me.

I hadn't clicked there for a couple days -- his last post was from November 15, and after a week of clicking there daily and still seeing the same post up, I skipped a day.

Today I clicked there again to see if he had posted anything new yet, and there's absolutely NOTHING -- just a blank page. I've tried pasting the URL in my address bar instead of clicking from my bookmarks, and I've tried going there via a link from another site -- still just a blank page.

I really want to know if this is just some weird quirk of my own dinosaur of a computer, or if that's all anyone else is getting as well. If someone would be willing to help by trying his link and letting me know what they get, I'd REALLY appreciate it! Billmon is one of my mainstay must-reads.

(I'm, like, kinda freaking out... :P )

5. He's most likely taking some time off.

He said as much a few weeks ago. He wrote a bit more through the midterms but then stopped.

I can get to the archives also, but when I/you click on "main" at the top of an archived post, it just goes to the same blank page.

I know he wrote sometime back (pre-election) that he wanted pull away from posting at the Whiskey Bar, but then so much shit started happening he got pulled back into it and kept at it up until Nov. 15.

I had hoped he wouldn't just pull the plug without making another statement about his intentions. Oh well. If he's truly gone, I will miss him terribly.
