Poll question: Have you read the Audacity of Hope? Pathetic Results |

Just curious.
Its a best selling book and it seems as though no one on FU has read it.

4. I've bought it, haven't had the chance to read it yet. |

We try to read any book that top politicians write. Why can being more informed about the people from our party hurt? Even if one isn't an Obama fan, why not be intellectually curious about who he is?

6. Because a book is a best-seller, that means it is good or worthwhile to read? |
|
Does this also apply to Republican books? Just playing devil's advocate. Actually, I don't read books anymore, bestselling or otherwise. I used to love to read, but I don't anymore. Part of it is just a damn vision thing. There is so much out there to read that I could quit my job and do nothing but reading books that have been recommended by somebody as the greatest thing since sliced bread.

His book about his father is just wonderful; he's a skilled writer and fascinating thinker. That book's a treasure. I see nine votes of "no and definitely won't" ... rather shocking and disappointing to me.

9. Did you really just refer to this website we're currently posting on as FU? |
|
:wtf:
That's one nasty typo, if it actually was a typo.

10. LOL... What prompted the "definitely won't" votes? |
|
Edited on Fri Dec-01-06 02:24 AM by Truth Hurts A Lot
I probably won't read it based on my history of not purchasing books and avoiding the library--but to say that I "definitely won't" just seems so harsh and final.
