Comedy Relief: 2006: Did you watch it? I did and I'm just enraged! |

Why is there still need to beg to rebuild a CITY in this nation? Listening to the stories of the people that were told on that program and remembering the days and days of watching people in despair while our government played pattycake just brought a flood of tears. My son was down there for several months trying to help with rebuilding some of the infrastructure. My cousin went down and spent nearly a year there trying to help repair the levees. That city didn't need to die to begin with. * and his crony appointees sat on their asses and let it happen, and whether it was negligence or malicious negligence, the murder of New Orleans is reason alone for impeachment.
We have had the hearts of two major US cities ripped out during this man's administration and our children and their futures have been offered as sacrifices on the altar of greed and power in a war based on political machinations and lies. The mean spirited and coldhearted political gaming that went on around both of those disasters belong to * and his political machine. Those Dems which help grease the skids for that machine deserve equal scorn. The day in which politicians can parse words and situations for political gamesmanship has come and gone, scoured to the bone by the surge of the sea in the Gulf. Republicans have been delivered the message in this past election. My message to my Democratic Party legislators is that they need to take heed of the message too. I've had it! I will not lend support to political gasbags and hacks who think that legislating is a marble game and that they somehow are entitled to all the marbles. The moves in this "game" they play connect very directly to people's lives. I will vote against a Dem who pulls this crap as quickly as I have always voted against Republicans. When it comes to the disasterous consequences of political expediency and gamesmanship we have witnessed in the past few years, no person of any political stripe is deserving of office who will participate either by commission or omission in the selling out of the nation.
