Is it just me, or is there something BIG coming down the pike? |
|
Just looking at the way Bush was dissed and snubbed by other world leaders, his refusal to accept any of the James Baker's Lifetime George Bush Rescue Squad's ISG's tepid 'suggestions', the falling away of just about everybody in his party except Rove...
I'm seeing somebody who is becoming powerless, obsolete, and a liability to those who once supported him.
It may not take impeachment after all to get this madman out of the driver's seat...
And Agent Mike? :hi: I'm referring to his being LEGALLY removed from office.

I won't feel the least bit bad for him either.

Just don't revile them while you're doing it.

2. There are lots of big things coming down the pike |
|
The Dems take control in January, and I can see a lot of good things coming out of the 2007 session.
As for Bush - he's done. Unless poppy can pull out a miracle, chimpy's legacy will be of a shattered nation, poor diplomacy, an inability to stop the growth of terrorism, and the plundering the American people.

And I can't see how the MSM can spin it any other way.

14. Historians, who are usually very judicious in letting time go by |
|
before making judgement calls or analysis of events have already decided that Bush's presidency is a huge failure. I think looking back through the filter of time, Bush's presidency will be looked on as worse than we even consider it now. The repercussions from Bush and his neocon buddy's policies while echo for many many future presidential terms.

3. He is not going to resign if that is what you mean. No way. Chaney maybe. |
|
But even that is doubtful. Best chance of getting rid of Chaney is for Lynne to kill him with saturated fat.

5. If you accept the premise that the buffoon ever held the reigns of |
|
power.
Personally I always thought that he was puppet installed by the oil and gas industries through the political whore KKKarl Rove.
Now that things have turned to shit, he finishes his cycle as buffoon in chief by being the fall guy and taking the blame for failed policies. The oil and gas interests are busy finding their next puppet and getting ready for 2008.
The buffoon in chief is on his own for the next two years - this would be funny if it was not for the fact that he will fuck things up even more.

He's always been a puppet. Smart enough to get elected (with help from his fathers friends and money) but not smart enough to avoid taking the fall, while his masters run for cover.
Rummy was the first. I expect dire news of Cheney having a medical emergency as soon as critical eyes start tearing Rummy a new one. With that distraction accomplished, Rummy can be absolved of guilt behind closed doors, and Cheney has an excuse to step down.
George will have to look long and hard to find a replacement VP. No one's going to want to step into that pile.

insanely overpaid executives are finding out that those tax cuts didn't do much for them, after all. It's just a numbers game now, my billions are bigger than your millions, neener.
They've LOST money, something that is brought home to them every time they go overseas or decide they want to buy something overseas.

8. One always hopes revolutions and coups are bloodless ones |
|
well, once one is out of one's violent youth..
I have said all along it may be preferable to investigate these lunatics and thieves, picking them off one by one, making sure Stupid is isolated, frustrated, stymied, and neutered.
At some point, he will need to be charged, tried, and (with an honest jury) imprisoned. It's the only way to get our position in the world back. We can do it once he's out of office, though.
Impeachment should always be a last resort and should be unless any of the three conditions I've mentioned before exist: declaration of martial law, declaration of preemptive war against another country, or the automatic veto of even routine legislation from a Democratically controlled Congress.
I vastly prefer death by a thousand cuts to the right fringe in power.

17. Plus, consider these... |
|
All the following could enter into the mix:
* Investigations and hearings -- What revelations will be brought forward? Public opinion is likely to be radically changed if certain facts are revealed. A chain of evidence to the White House of any of the various outrages that have been inflicted on us by ChimpCo could tip things over. And consider this as a wild card: Cheney has explicitly said he will ignore all subpoenas from Congress. This would trigger a Constitutional crisis which could really turn things over.
* Climate disasters -- ChimpCo's global warming denial could come home to roost. A horrible hurricane season, or other radical weather could really change the dynamics of politics. If Gore doesn't run in 2008 I'm going to be very bummed out. This is a wild card which could come into play. Or consider what might happen if the Ross Ice Shelf *does* collapse.
* Continued Repuke bad behavior -- All indications are that the Repuke leadership in Congress is going to continue their horrible behavior. Read John W. Dean's recent article on this. The people ain't gonna like this.
* A fracture in the Republican party -- It's already happening. In KS alone, there were nine Republicans who switched parties and ran for office as Democrats, all saying that their move was permanent. One, a former Republican state chair, ran as Sebelius's running mate. Hagel and many other Repuke Congress critters are going to make things very bad for the nutcase Repukes.
I wouldn't want to be a Republican right now. The writing is on the wall. They are self-destructing.

Maybe not this time, though. Daddy plays in a rough league, and if George needs to take the fall, Daddy would be taking a big risk in saving him.

24. he is simply insignificant now........ |
|
I saw someone ask Rice about the snub by the Iraqi guy. She said that they had planned to have a meeting with the 3 of them but at the time of the meeting, they decided they didn't need the 3 of them.
I just don't buy that argument.....I mean, someone flys halfway around the world to meet you and you just blow him off?
It's clear that he is now weak and insignificant. No one would even walk across the street just to meet him anymore!!
