Trashing the roads...
Tonight when I made a run to the store I had to swerve to miss a bag of trash someone threw on the road. This is a dark stretch of road with little lighting. It seems like on average of once or twice a week someone just tosses their trash out the window around here.

This really pisses me off. Not just the fact of the mess, but also it can be dangerous as well. I have seen box springs left lying in the middle of the road where oncoming cars could hit it.

Not only that, where we live, it's on the outskirts of town and we get a lot of critters like raccoons, skunks and such. They love to get their hands on trash of all kinds. Not only to the little pests make a mess, some of what they get into can be harmful. We are very careful with our trash and make sure it's in a sealed trash can they can't open. It goes out the morning the trash men come rather than the night before. If they are getting into trash in the middle of the road they can get hit by a car as well.

There is so much wrong with this that for the life of me I can't understand why people won't toss their garbage...well, in the garbage. I just as soon dirty up my car than to toss my trash out the window as I'm driving down the road.

It pisses me off and I just don't get it.

2. If it makes you feel any better, here's a little story.....
I was coming home from a Gig (band Job) one night.

The car that was ahead of the car in front of me threw a HUGE bag of Bottles, Garbage,
paper, food stuff and Cans out the drivers window right into the oncoming lanes.

The Crap went Everywhere!

Heh..Heh.. Unfortunately .. the Car in front of me was a State Trooper and
Man Oh Man..his lights came on so fast it looked like something from Star Trek.

I, of course, slowed down while he followed them off the highway...
..the passengers in that car looked mighty Sick!...Heh..Heh.

I'll bet their ass was cooked!

3. Whoever did that is just having fun.
I wonder how my childhood got screwed up; I deplore littering and don't do it myself. But then I'm a nerd, geek, dweeb, you name it...

I hope the cops find the guy and fine 'im. That will be fun.

4. Fine him hell, make the moran pick up roadside trash for awhile or
better still - clean up roadkill several weekends for a few months.

If that doesn't make someone stop littering; then nothing will.

8. He can finally make an important contribution to society and
eat well at the same time, so this never happens to another roadkill!

ROAD KILL STEW

4 lb. road kill (raccoon or opossum, squirrel is too meager) Preferably 2 to 3 days old. Should marinate in road oil and other highway grease at least 1 day
1 lb. whole garlic cloves
3 c. Jalapeno peppers with seeds
1 bucket of green onions
1 gal. flat beer (Pabst is GOOD)
5 c. toadstools
3 tbsp. cumin
3 c. wild weeds
Any deserving vegetables you can think of

If he has any business sense, he can make some cash:

Road Kill Stew

Tune: Three Blind Mice

Road Kill stew,
Road Kill stew,
Taste's so good,
Just like it should.

First you go down to the Interstate
You wait for the critter to meet it's fate.
You take it home and you make it great!
Road Kill stew,
Road Kill stew,

Now I'm hungry!
