It's becoming a very painful realization for me....
It looks like the Sunni (Saudi Arabia) vs. Shia (Iran) "final solution" is shaping up to play out in Iraq and spread from there throughout the middle east.

Let me thank our great leader for seeding this proud, fertile ground with the demon seed of Armageddon. I hope to hell I'm wrong, but it's not looking real good right now... :scared:

1. Where's our 10,000 (or is it 1000) days of absolute prosperity?
Aren't we're supposed to get that before The End?

4. Some thing I read or saw on revelations and the apocalypse.
I don't recall anymore. I out-grew my morbid curiosity with ancient fairy tales and the details fade over time.

It was something along the lines of; the beast of the (some compass point) will be killed and rise from the dead (I think this one is supposed to be the anti-christ) and the world will have 10,000 days of absolute prosperity just before the nukes fly and the good people get raptured away and the world ends and then we get years and years of suffering and then Jesus comes back and then the sheep get to be lambs at his feet forever and ever.

Something like that...

12. I think that the region
is a powder keg. I fear that there are forces in the administration that plan to kill that fellow al Sadre. If they do, that could be the fuse that sets of a terrible regional war.

5. It has never looked good since the Brits imposed this clusterfuck on the region.
The Constitution of Iraq has all the groundwork for the inevitable partitioning into three countries already laid, so lets just get it over with and get the fuck out.

8. "rapture ready" forum sees a prophet in Glenn Beck!
http://www.rr-bb.com/showthread.php?t=285370

"I am amazed how Glenn seems to be putting together today's events and tying them into possible prophetic fulfillment. Today he talked about Iran and Russia, the futher isolation of Israel and how it seems that Gog/Magog War is being set up. Yesterday, he had John Hagee on the program for a few minutes and John said to the effect that you would have to be dumb to not read the paper and be able to see how we are in the End Times, which Glenn agreed with. I know Glenn is a Mormon, and that is a can of worms that has already been open, but it is amazing to hear someone with an audience as large as his talk about events in the Middle East and how they could be possibly be setting up End Times prophecy."

"Personally, I think the Holy Spirit is working on Glenn Beck.

How else can it be explained?"

"God is using Glenn Beck.

Why are some eyes opened and others not? How are we to know? God decides - not us."

(much, much more at link)

10. OK, I shouldn't have used the word Armageddon
This wasn't meant to be a fundie wingnut discussion. I am serious that it looks like the middle east could explode into a real mess and I was wondering if I am alone in thinking this.

11. Nope, your NOT alone
This clusterf**k is wound up tighter than the hangman's noose on Saddam's neck.

Somebody's gonna get nervous and the whole area will explode.

13. Nope, you're not alone.
I think so too. I read that a Saudi Representative has said that if the US withdraws, they will come in and defend the Sunni's. Then Iran will come in and help the Shia. Then -- regional war. Maybe that's why bush* said in his Radio Address that what we do in Iraq will affect the entire region.

15. Bush started this shit, blind to the fact that diving up the oil spoils
to everyones satisfaction was un doable. This is why no viable solution is in sight. Greed is not just a US problem, it is a world problem.
