Rice: I Won't Discuss Iraq Mistakes Until Bush Leaves Office...
Dec. 2, 2006 — Although she is not yet ready to explain herself, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is admitting that the United States has made mistakes in Iraq.

"As to whether the United States has made mistakes: Of course, I'm sure we have," Rice told the Arabic satellite television station Al-Arabiya. "You can't be involved in something as big as the liberation of a country like Iraq and all that has happened since, and I'm sure there are things that we could have done differently."

However, Rice told Al-Arabiya that now is not the time to talk about U.S. mistakes in Iraq.

"Frankly, we are looking ahead," she said.

Once her tenure as secretary of state is over and she is back at Stanford University, she said she will reflect on the war.

"I can look back and write books about what we might have done differently," she said.

6. I have no doubt that she will return to Stanford
or go to another of the major universities, if that is what she chooses. They should require that she actually teach a certain percent of her time if she goes back to academe. I used to laugh about politics on campus. The reason they were so brutal was that the stakes were so low.

16. Nooooooooooooooo!
Stanford can keep that fascist POS. I know your heart is in the right place, but I heard she was offered a job at Harvard as Chancellor, and I don't want to know that piece of crap is living a mile from me. She is trash and does not belong in Cambridge, thank you very much.

8. That's one hell of a notion of democracy she has there--the government
"made mistakes" in an unjust and heinous war, but they are her own private property, to be kept from the public, so she can later make money from disclosing them.

Sounds like a book for Bush's "presidential library"--to set next to 10,000 copies of "My Pet Goat."

11. Gosh, good thing that war is so FUBAR. That will give Ms. Rice
lots of material to write about. Imagine how boring her book would be if they'd only been there a few weeks.

:sarcasm:

13. writing your memoirs in jail is no problem...
All your profits from the sales can go toward paying back the the costs of the war in Iraq... that should take a few years... better get crackin' on those books now...

18. Does Ferragamo
have models in orange to match prison jump suits? But with "impeachment off the table" she won't go to prison, or the Hague. Just make a zillion bucks on the book(s) she'll write once she's out.
