BBC: Rumsfeld 'had doubts' over Iraq

Doubts?
Three and a half years of disaster and he had 'some doubts'. I'm speechless.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6203212.stm

Former US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld voiced doubts about the Bush administration's strategy in Iraq, the New York Times newspaper reports. The paper has published what it says is a classified memo submitted by Mr Rumsfeld to the White House, just two days before his resignation last month.

The document says the US strategy in Iraq "is not working well enough" and calls for "a major adjustment". Mr Rumsfeld was known for steadfastly advocating staying the course in Iraq.

The memo, dated 6 November, proposes troop redeployments and base closures, in apparent contradiction with Mr Rumsfeld's public assertions that it is commanders in the field who determine troop levels.

when they resign.

Ironically, it has been reported Ashcroft was AGAINST the warrantless wiretapping program! Yet, we all saw how awful he was! (I.e. the crap in the (un)Patriot(tic) Act.)

Then it was Colon Powell and his assistant Colonel Wilkerson, who fought against invading Iraq, or at the very least demanded better evidence. Yet we all know how he went to the UN and gave his little presentation.

Now its Rumsfeld, out of all the people in the world, to say Iraq wasn't working out!

OK, what the HELL is going on here?

Who's making the bad decisions? Is it Cheney? Is it Chimperfuhrer? WHO?

7. 'not working well enough'
These people are really out of their fucking minds. There is zero correlation between "Iraq" and "working well"; they are orthogonal.

8. Bullshit in its purest form
Here's what Rummy's notes say less than five hours after the attacks on the World Trade Center: "Go massive ... Sweep it all up. Things related and not." and "Judge whether good enough hit S.H. at same time. Not only UBL."

He's also one of the founders of Project for a New American Century, along with Snarlin' Dick Cheney.

"Doubts"? Please. :eyes:
