We're getting conflicting reports.
I'm glad Ed Schultz is there too. He's always been a Cindy supporter, and now he can report what happened on his show.

14. No, on another thread it's reported to have been one with a number on it |
|
the number of Iraq War dead.
Just like at one of his 2004 rallies. You couldn't even be wearing a Kerry t-shirt there.

17. Here's confirmation from the WP. |
|
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/01/31/AR2006013101500.htmlThat's good enough for me! WASHINGTON -- Cindy Sheehan, the mother of a fallen soldier in Iraq who reinvigorated the anti-war movement, was taken into custody by police in the House gallery Tuesday night just before President Bush's State of the Union address.
Police escorted Sheehan from the visitors' gallery above the House chamber after causing a disruption, said a Capitol Police official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because details of the incident were sketchy.
Rep. Lynn Woolsey, D-Calif., had invited Sheehan to the address as her guest.

|
I emailed him to let him know he may want to look into this. Welcome to the Fascist States of America. Geez.

20. I don't care if she had a banner, wore a t-shirt, or went naked . . . |
|
the point is, she accomplished something . . . if she didn't shift the focus from the SOTU, she at least forced the media to split its focus some . . .
unlike the corporate press, Cindy is trying to get the truth out to the American people . . truth about the number of American casualties in Iraq (which the press is ignoring), and truth about BushCo's complete disdain for First Amendment rights (which the press is also ignoring) . . . if she doesn't do it, who will? . . . you? . . . the Congress? . . . the press? . . .
if Cindy helped to awaken just a few more people, she accomplished a hell of a lot more than she would have sitting on her hands while politely listening to more BushCo lies . . . her son would be immensely proud of her . . .
