In Depth: Jimmy Carter

Former President Jimmy Carter is the guest on Book TV's December In Depth. Mr. Carter is the author of a new book, "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid," and more than twenty others, including "Our Endangered Values: America's Moral Crisis," "Keeping Faith: Memories of a President," "The Virtues of Aging," "An Hour Before Daylight: Memories of a Rural Boyhood," and "The Blood of Abraham: Insights into the Middle East." He co-authored "Everything to Gain: Making the Most of the Rest of Your Life" with his wife, Rosalynn Carter. In Depth will air live from President Carter's home in Plains, Georgia.

A 1946 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Jimmy Carter served in the navy until his father's death in 1953, when he took over the family farm in Plains, Georgia. He was a Georgia State Senator and Georgia's Governor, prior to running for President. Jimmy Carter was elected President of the United States in 1976 and served from 1977 to 1981. In 1982 he founded the Carter Center in Atlanta. The Carter Center's mission is to resolve conflict, promote democracy, protect human rights, and prevent disease around the world. President Carter was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002.

I need an explanation on why a wide ranging three hour interview with a former Democratic Party President was moved from GD to accommodate whiners.
That was superb. I love Carter.

4. I agree. bad decision.
fits completely with what Carter was saying. He wrote the book because there is no honest public discussion on the subject. :(
