Al Gore/An Inconvenient Truth.... |
|
... I just got this DVD and watched it last night.
Even with this movie out of the equation, I'd say Al Gore has done, and is continuing to do, more for the good of this country and this planet than 1000 Bush's and Reagan's.
And for those who for whatever reason have an axe to grind with Al Gore, just watch the film and nevermind the messenger.

1. I agree with you completely |
|
I wasn't all that impressed with the idea of Gore running in '08, but after I watched this film and started tuning into him on various talk shows, I am more than impressed. He has learned a lot by taking his slide show on the road. He is strong, steadfast, easy going and very, very clear and focused. He is still a nice guy but his strength and depth shine through and his conciousness is refreshing.
I wonder what would happen if he ran as a Green candidate?

I'm going to get it and get the family to watch when we are together at Christmas. I was one of those Gore in 2004 people. My dream ticket for karmic justice would be Gore/Kerry - back to the future, but I know that dream will never come true.

5. I hope the new Democratic Majority Leadership have seen this great film. |
|
Global warming is a serious problem that is happening right now and is causing serious damage. Al Gore did a magnificent job laying out the facts. If you don't believe this is a serious problem, then you might as well believe the Earth is flat.
The new Democratic Majority in Congress should make this issue top priority in the next Congress. If we don't have a viable, livable Earth, none of the other problems really matter, do they?

6. It's soooo obvious now. Gore/Obama in '08 |
|
Gore has proven he can do the job, plus he's the rightful holder of the position -- not the 'boy king' usurper to the throne. The added benefit of grooming Obama is just an added sweetener for the future. Things are looking better !

Obama has charisma galore - it frigging oozes out of his pores. plus as a red blooded american woman...let me add that he's hot as hell. :) 8 years as the VP could give him the cred he needs at this point.

But there are three other things I have to inject into this enviormental debate. Why is HAARP not an American household word. Really I mean it. I want every Joe Sixpack, every Bible totin Christian, every star struck Oprah follower and every ten year old to be fully aware that the US government has been fucking with the weather for at least two decades now.
Second oops is the Space Preservation Act by Dennis Kucinch, what happened to that? Magically disappeared, huh. See Chemtrails.
Third is S517, The weather modification bill, Ya, well why not legitimize the covert operations of the last two decades, right?

10. Because they are tinfoil-conspiracy theory lunacy. |
|
Apart from the SPA, I haven't spoken to anyone with a shred of credibility - or indeed anyone who isn't totally crazybatshitinsane - who thinks our government is trying to control the weather. Most people I spoke to who thought this were utter lunatics and quite disturbing to boot.
Gore has done more for the environment than almost any living human being, including you.

15. Name them, and provide evidence. |

Otherwise we reality-based community types will see this for what it is, another lunatic crackpot theory which would make Lyndon LaRouche blush.

such openmindedness. I have not seen an attitude like this since I was kicked off of Hannity.com in under 48 hours. Must be nice to be all knowing and omnipotent.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, even to Liberals. I'd settle for even some run-of-the-mill style evidence.
Do you happen to have any?

Everyone is getting a copy of this movie from me. I've already ordered and wrapped 10 copies.
Sure you can get it for free but Gore is going to donate proceeds to assist in getting the word out about global warming, I'm happy to donate.

This man has the qualities, intelligence, compassion, caliber and VISION needed to be our President. He is the kind of man I picture when I think of the office of President of the United States. A true leader with compassion and foresight. AL GORE IS NOW MY HERO.
This man represents TRUE leadership on a grand scale. Who else do we have today that can even tie his shoe laces? Howard Dean also has vision and love for his great country.
I would love to see a GORE/DEAN ticket. Both men are brilliant and their partnership would create a symbiotic relationship that could truly turn this country around!!!!
