There's just something about certain men that when they put on a cowboy hat, they look like aged drag queens - not that there's anything wrong with drag queens, but it's not the look they're going for, and it isn't the macho persona they're trying to put forth. Rummy is one of these. W is another. Fred Phelps of GodHatesFags.com is another.

There's this one shot of W with a cowboy hat on, a long black coat, walking very stiff legged while pulling on some gloves, and it just screams YMCA to me, a straight white male with a broken gaydar. I wish I could find it to show what I'm talking about.

That I use primarily for house decorations as, though it's a shock to everyone since I normally look good no matter what, wearing these don't make me look too stylish as I'm not in a mariachi band.

It's not the article of clothing, it's just how you look in them - Rumsfeld, Phelps, and Bush do not come off macho (which is their goal) while wearing that particular headpiece.

The picture I'm envisioning of Phelps didn't help in that he was wearing a pink embroidered cowboy shirt (where the pockets are outlined with thick thread and have designs above the pockets), and it looked like he was wearing lipstick and rouge (a bad tv make-up job).
