New WCPT AM 850 Chicago lineup starting 12/11/2006
(mods: please remove if dupe or more to appropriate spot)

Hello all,
Just got an e-mail from my heroine goddess Stephanie Miller and she confirmed that WCPT 850AM will be carrying her show live from 8am - 11am CST in Chicago. OK, it's a crummy daytime signal but any signal is good for now, and because I have to work in downtown Chicago, I need to stream her anyway.

Here's the new lineup starting 12/11/2006

1. I just found this station 2 months ago, and I find
meself even enjoying Jerry in short bursts.

What a relief that a red city in a red state might dare to have an underpowered, daytime only, liberal radio station. (now that our NPR is more conservative than Rush at times)

2. Chicago?
Are you saying that Chicago is a red city in a red state?

3. I could live with that. But Ed Schultz across the noon hour just ruins lunch
hour listening. I think I'm turning the dial back to 670. At least I agree with the callers constantly carping about Rex Grossman.

6. too bad our station has such a crappy signal we can barely get it in
in Chicago. But, I'm really glad we are getting steph because I'm in my car much of the day.BTW Stan and Terry on WCKG are pretty entertaining 2 Black men who don't talk much politics but they are fun from 9 am til 1pm. It will eat away from some of shultz's time.

I'm editing this post, since I found out that Jerry announced the end of his show as of Friday (though he may wrap up on Wednesday and do best-of shows to finish out the week).

After the WCPT switch next week, the only station that I can verify still running him is WSAI in Cincy.

13. Jerry spent too much time Dancing with the Stars
I don't begrudge him and I don't think he thought he would last that long, but I could not take the Galvin brothers at all.
I was starting to notice all his callers where out of Chicago and Cincinatti.
Thanks for the info F.I.

10. Why do they keep screwing with Randi's show? Time delay Al for cripes sakes.
They say they have no idea about his future, so wouldn't it make sense to build up some loyalty for a show that you know will continue on? Guess it doesn't really matter, I practically live on top of the signal and can barely hear it anyways.
