That said, I know how to use it, but not administer or install it. Any of those kind of questions?

2. I added a link to our site and it is invalid and now I can't delete it. |
|
I read the help column and went to Microsoft online help but still haven't found the right answer.

3. I use it daily..but it can be confusing working on |
|
multiple levels, etc..
As I recall, you can either go in and edit directly to a web part or you can use one of the site mgmt links. I don't have sharepoint in front of me, so I can't play with it :-(

4. Is it a public site & can you send me the URL so I can look at it? |
|
It may be a matter of finding the right "place" to delete it. If you added it as an entry to the front page (for example) then somewhere on the sharepoint site there will be a list of "things that make up the front page" where you can delete it from. Does that make sense?
Each Sharepoint site is quite customized so it's hard to give you specific guidance. Also, you may not have the right permissions from your Sharepoint administrator, so that would be somebody to follow up with....

It is a business site. Our company just set it up and I do have administrative rights, but it is much more cumbersome than I thought it would be.

It is hard to find your way around it. My only recommendation is to click on absolutely everything that you see to see if the link you need is "under" something.... they hide things in strange places. Also sometimes if you want to add a field to a list, for example, you may not be able to just add it... you may have to delete the entire list and start over again.
Good luck!
