Bush is digging his heels in on Iraq AGAIN!!
Bubble boy is going to blow off the Iraq Study Group recommendations - which prove the truth is getting fed to bubble boy and he's ignoring it - and not budge on Iraq. The elections mean nothing. Public disapproval of what he's doing in Iraq means nothing. The demands of generals on the ground for more troops and a change in tactics mean nothing. Bush is determined to stay the course in Iraq no matter what anyone - and I mean ANYONE - has to say about it.

Something weird is going on with bubble boy. There is no logical or legitimate explanation for why he would continue to ignore reality to stay the course.

Newspapers are openly debating his status as the worst president we've ever had, poppy is trying and failing to bail him out, the American people have spoken in an election that wrests power and control from his party. Yet he STILL wants to stay the course.

Something seriously WRONG is going on with bubble boy. He's been compromised.

1. So when he gets done playing the "Decider" and sends more troops,
what are we doing? Will someone not stand up and impeach this bastard?

3. Personally

I've been of the opinion for a few years now that the GOP have every intention of losing in 08.

Face facts, the country and the american reputation have been so seriously dragged into the crapper that its not going to be fixable for a long time and after a lot of soul searching.

meanwhile it'll take about a day after the 08 election for the GOP propoganda machine and its Australian Expatriate master to start blaming the Dems and "libs" for everything, including and especially the Iraq disaster, a blind display of Goebellesque spin that will be eaten up by the retarded sheep on the right and their evangelical masters.

just the opinion of an englishman proud to have a liberal outlook and still hail from a country that doesn't believe "liberal" is a dirty word, although our definition of democracy, like the US version leaves a lot to be desired.

5. You may be right...
... but individual Republican congresspersons still covet their jobs. Bush's humility routine lasted about 3 days. While the puppetmasters might feel like letting the Dems have it now, I'm not so sure rank and file Republican voters and pols do.

So, I expect a near mutiny soon. More and more Republicans are going to make a visible break with the white house after watching their compadres lose their cushy-ass perk-encrusted jobs.

The Dems didn't just gain a small majority in congress, they will soon have a virtual majority that includes the growing number of pukes that not only want to keep their jobs but who also now realize just how perniciously bereft of leadership ability the DictatorTot is.

12. I've Been Saying That Too
Guy i know said "Well, i don't like Bush but i don't know that the democrats have any plan for Iraq that's better." My reply was "Stay the course is NOT A PLAN! It's a catchphrase!" He agreed and said he felt bad that he bought the "dems have no plan" theme. (BTW: He's not a conservative. He's younger than me and just starting to get into gov't and politics. I would put him in the early "coming out of his liberterian phase".)

9. you are assuming that bush "is" the "decider"
he's not. never has been. the decisions have been made by cheney, rove and anyone else cleared by cheney/rove.

What we are seeing at the moment is an internal power struggle between Cheney and Poppy Bush (via Baker)

What bush thinks is irrelevant. bush is irrelevant. he's just a face to put before the microphones and tv cameras.
