As Gore stated in "An Inconvenient Truth"... |

he was relegated to person-to-person interaction to create awareness. This, the result of the corporate-owned media's reprehensible cover-up of global warming and denial of its severe ramifications. The fourth estate owns this.
As stockholders of these entities, we become equally complicit in not demanding accountability for their actions. Corporate 401K's and mutual funds reduce our market risk... but at what cost? We relinquish the power of the individual making self-determining decisions on how companies we finance conduct their business. Are we then the robotic enablers of these entities speeding our own demise?
Only on a local level -- and yes, internet forums count -- can we begin to organize and disseminate information to make sound decisions. It used to be the election within companies of corporate officers, and the agendas they supported, stirred the employees and stockholders to debate and participation. Seems there is a lesson here in declining participation.
Which leads me to Newt wanting to gut the First Amendment... in order to "protect" us. Obviously, our ability to organize and participate in our country's future direction has been greatly enhanced by the internet. Small personal blogs advocating avoidance of say -- rBGH in milk products -- gains viewers, leads to participants, results in protestations, and leads to a boycott of that farmer or dairy or corporation's product.
This scares the shit out of the elite. And Newt spewing anti-freedom-of-speech bile is nothing more than a transparent dictum that an informed people are a dangerous people. Yes we are. Not as a terrorist organization. But as a unified voice of self-governing peoples striving to reverse the injustices we have suffered at the hands of many criminal, corporate entity's actions. Our agenda still cannot be better voiced than in our Bill of Rights. Do not confuse the citizenry of this country with terrorists Mr. Gingrich.
This nation is rebounding back from the cloak of fear and shame thrust upon us by your party. And we sanction no treasonous acts. We sanction freedom of speech, peaceful assembly and VALID representation in our elected office.

1. Ok -- how about some critique here... |

78 views and nothing. I really suck as a writer or this topic is not important. Either way, some feedback would be nice.
