I have heard that he bought some property in Paraguay. If he doesn't leave what will he do public speaking? Will the pundits run to him for advice...

Truman took a public train (to save money) back to Misery. no guard, no hoopla, no security.
Even Reagan and Nixon were fairly accessible, as Clinton apparently is even today.
Of course, HWBush is so connected with nasty business dealings that he absolutely needs all the US funded security he can get.

same with Reagan, Carter, Clinton.
With a complete and total walking disaster area like George Jr, I have not not even a shadow of an idea possibly crossing my mind about his future.
If we were unlucky, he'll be assassinated, leaving Cheney in charge. If we are REALLY REALLY unlucky, he will serve out his term, then run and hide, far from the public eye, a disgraced figure, not tragic, like a lear, but utterly reviled. Paraguay? not unlikely. Talk about cutting and running. If we are lucky, Cheney resigns, and the Congress finds the ways and means to impeach the chimp.
I once thought that "Speaker Pelosi" sounds so fine. "President" Pelosi would be music to my ears.

Remember, this is the man who traded Sammy Sosa.
Here's what I WANT to happen: I want him to move to the great city of Fayettenam, North Carolina, one of the few places in America where he's not reviled by the majority of the population. Then I want him to apply to The Home Depot and to be hired. And then I want him to be assigned to my lumber department.
I believe the first paragraph of my first semiannual performance review with Mr. Bush will go down in the annals of history as possibly the most vicious evaluation ever presented in the 27-year history of my corporation. "George, you don't suck nearly as bad as you did in your last job. Then again, because in your last job you attempted to bankrupt the United States, sell America to the Communist Chinese, and destroy the Middle East, and you succeeded on all counts, if you sucked that bad here this evaluation wouldn't be in writing. You are aware, mainly because I showed you where all the stuff is on your first day in the department, that this store sells everything you'd need to conduct a Japanese-style ritual suicide. Oh, and I'm the one responsible for putting all those evaluations of your presidency, Operation Iraqi Liberation casualty lists, and 'how to commit seppuku' printouts in your locker."

On second thought, make it a 16 Ft. x 20 Ft. Model V1620, because if he messed up his presidency, he's going to botch seppuku as well.

Lisa, for such a good cause as Bush committing seppuku, we'd mark down a tarp for him.
In fact, I'm SUCH a generous guy, I'll mark down all of the following for him:
a 9x12 tarp--it's big enough a sheet of plywood a machete a Stanley SportUtility Knife, the first utility knife with a folding lockback hunting knife blade built into it. a box of nails two empty pallets and a Resin Storage Shelf.
Bush CAN'T commit seppuku on Home Depot property because there is drinking during the ceremony and we're not allowed to bring alcoholic beverages onto the property at any time. It is so severe that if I'm on my day off and I need something from Home Depot and something from the liquor store, I've got to go to the Home Depot first because I could get fired for having a bottle of liquor in my trunk in the parking lot on my day off. (Besides, I'm certain there's SOMETHING in the Code of Conduct that says we can't behead an associate on the property, and that's part of the ceremony too.) However, there is a piece of land right next to the store that has a forklift-navigable road. We could use that.
Oh...I checked the Associate Guide. Beheading is between Back End Automation Restructuring Initiative (BEAR) and Bereavement Guidelines. It says you have to conduct at least three written disciplinary sessions first, and recommends termination as a "more suitable" method of ridding yourself of problem children.
