Wall Street excited about bank merger and fact that 3,900 jobs will
be lost if the deal goes through. Wall Street always happy about workers losing their jobs but they cannot understand why we don't understand how great the Bush economy is.

1. Who's merging now?
And why aren't the anti-trust people DOING something about it?

(Second question is rhetorical.)

4. Nah, make it more basic: just the Federal Reserve bank
to control every aspect of your life without the franchises.

5. That's why I hate stock analysts
Everytime you hear about thousands of people getting booted off a companies payroll these leeches can't wait to crack the champagne. It's all about growth and the bottom line to them.

I did get a bit of a shadenfrude (sp?) feeling one time when a big stock analysis group let go a bunch of people several years ago though. But it was short lived when I realized a bunch more people were on the dole.

7. Which just goes to show the brilliance of Wall Street analysts.
All these mega-corporations are dependent upon customers. And laid-off workers don't make good customers.

8. Great , I wish there was a true tally of how many jobs went in 6 years
and how may (REAL) jobs were created just since bush jumped into office . I can't imagine how many more jobs will vanish with what time we have left .

No one can survive on min wage unless they have a paid for home and never need anything for years to come .

Anyone could be outsourced or downsized and loose everything . It pains me deeply how much trouble many people are in now and I am one of them so I know all about the mental stress one goes through where it is a fight to live or give up and die with no future that holds any hope of ever getting back to a good living and the older you become the more difficult this is , trust me on that one.

We make nothing here anymore so what about all those who worked for years doing a job that is now suddenly obsolete or pays $5.00 per hour due to the mass of workers fighting for that one job left .
