Need help--please recommend some podcasts for me to subscribe to
Ok DUers....

I would love it if you all could recommend some politically-minded podcasts for me to subscribe to.

So far, I've subscribed to Tavis Smiley's podcasts, and also the podcasts from the Clinton Foundation.

I'm really interested in any podcasts that deal with issues in the African-American community, but please recommend any podcasts that you think a progressive like me might enjoy!

Thanks!

2. Hmmm... don't know any specifically African-American, but...
...I like Randi Rhodes, Mike Malloy, Ring of Fire (with Bobby Kennedy and Mike Papantonio), Radio Nation (with Laura Flanders), Counter Spin (about the media), the John & Elizabeth Edwards Podcast (often about poverty), and Democracy Now! (a daily Progressive newscast).

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, just reply.

NGU.

4. Thanks...can you tell me where I can find the one for Counter Spin?
Is there a web site you can direct me to where I can subscribe to the podcast, or should I look it up in Itunes? That one sounds like a real goodie.

And thanks for the heads-up on John and Elizabeth Edwards. I'm subscribing to that one now.

6. Quick Google search gave me this
http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=29&rss_content=counterspin

Paste that URL into your "Subscribe to Podcast" option in iTunes.

3. Amy Goodman, the epitome of "progressive broadcasting" podcasts Demcocracy Now!

She is also on Link and DishTV satellite stations, and selected cable and community stations, as well as on Pacifica Radio stations.

I watch her Monday-Friday mornings at 7am.

Watching Amy is almost as good as reading the Guardian!

8. I like a number of NY Times Op-ed podcasts. It is part of the
service you pay for.

I especially like Dowd, Herbert, Krugman, and Rich.

I love NPR's "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me," for humor.

And Democracy Now with Amy Goodman.
