5. Wooooooohooooooo Blue!!! Gotta be an Anchorage area bench...
All we get in Fairbanks are stop signs with the "Stop" on top and "Bush" on the bottom - but the Golden Heart City is a bit more right wing than Anchortown! :woohoo::woohoo::bounce::woohoo::woohoo:

Love the pic - sending it far and wide!! from another cold-spotter.

6. That's very poor graffiti.
Why mar the beautiful scenery and public property with such piss poor artwork?

7. greyl, if you knew how right-wing this state is -
just seeing a publicly stated anti-shrub anything is so welcome.

Get over it. Get a sense of humor. Visit here sometime and see some real scenery - it sure as hell ain't in the cities.

9. It might as well say "I eat crayons".
Aesthetically, it blows. That's all I'm saying. :)

14. Most of the MAJOR tagging artists live in the Lower 48.

11. Now if we could see a few of those down here on the peninsula.
No one talks about bush. He's hated. But they won't say it out loud. Bravo, Blue.

18. Lest anyone think I'm responsible for the "art,"
I just took the picture, REALLY. I was out walking taking some "real" scenic shots yesterday morning on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail when I came upon this and couldn't pass it up. I agree that it's not the most pleasing tagging, but it's the thought that counts. :)

23. Got to be Anchorage
Look at all the sunlight, seriously, if that was Fairbanks this time of year there'd be very little real sun to shoot it with.. Lived up there for ten years..

and in truth Alaska is not so Right Wing as it is Libertarian, the parties have no meaning up there, in some ways it's every man for himself, but at the same time anyone will do anything for you if you are in a jam..

A beautiful place in so many ways, but FUCK that COLD, I live in Hawaii now and you can KEEP IT :)

But Wait for the Symbolman book coming up, all about Alaska in the 70's, you'll know more about Fairbanks and the Far north than many have ever known, the REAL STUFF :)

GOOD PIC!
