What exactly do they mean when they say "They're playing politics"?
Does it mean people are using swift boat tactics or does it mean they are using the political process to get their ideas and opinions enforced or at least heard? It sure has a negative connotation to it yet I always thought politics was what politicians did. It seems everytime the Democrats try and get something heard or voted on "they are playing politics" but I never hear that about the Republicans. :shrug:I guess they don't "play politics", they use Mafia tactics instead..

1. It's empty rhetoric
As you point out, politics is what politicians do (not restricted to one party).

3. It's Play Ground Whining Wah Wah Wah
"The other kids won't play like I TOLD them too." Wah Wah Wah. It is BS and ranks up there with Rwers accusing poor people of waging "class warfare." As if the poor wage anything. Noise machine fuckwittage sung off key.

2. Republicans believe that they are rigth and self evidently right
The only reason we don't support President Bush 100% is because we are partisan and want power for ourselves. If we were honestly fighting for what's best for America we'd be behind him.

Because no sane person would conclude that President Bush is a nutjob.

5. It means when Republicans push a vote on a min. wage bill that has a silly Paris Hilton
tax break attached it. They know no intelligent person would vote for it, so it fails, and then Bill Frist can go on the news and talk about how Dems don't want a minimum wage increase.

I saw that with by own eyes a few months ago.

8. Means they got nuttin'. When you have no sound argument, make accusations
which have no real meaning but trigger an emotional response (rather than critical thinking)in most listeners.
