10 MILLION denied jobs and this bastard cries about his demon spawn losing an election?
Edited on Tue Dec-05-06 03:36 PM by TahitiNut

I can't begin to express my rage at this insane, old bastard and the abysmally clueless media who present this "sympathy moment" for one of the most APPALLING attitudes of ENTITLEMENT I've ever seen in this country - rivaling the horrors of aristocratic entitlements that led to the Russian and French Revolutions! Where's Madame LeFarge when we need her?

Not only have over ten million Americans been denied meaningful work, over sixty million are doing work for which they're underpaid by perhaps 30% and forty million are without adequate health care in a nation where people like this vicious fucking bastard do everything to make them even poorer to line the pockets of the already wealthy!

We have more than three thousand families whose sons and daughters have died for the predations of this INSANE regime and nearly 700,000 Iraqi families ripped apart by the "shock and awe" of the most corrupt administration in this country's history. And this evil bastard CRIES about a son who lost an election to a position of public trust where he could further exploit and abuse his authority for crony advantages? Where're the tar and feathers?

I have never seen anything more insane and totally devoid of any sense of justice than this "sympathy moment" - enough to make what few sane people left in this perverted Disneyland of a nation want to grab ropes and look for hanging trees! Abominable!

10. He was (reportedly) reminiscing about the 'terrible' loss Jeb 'suffered' in 1994.
Edited on Tue Dec-05-06 03:44 PM by TahitiNut
Concocting some bizarre scenario of Jeb's 'courage' in the face of such terrible 'adversity.'

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST ON A CRUTCH!! I've seen more 'adversity' suffered by a kid told there was no dessert!! It just staggers my sensibilities that this could be pimped by the whoring corporate media as some "human interest" moment.

(As far as I know, Jeb has nothing to prevent him from running again - except possible greed for "bigger and better" postions of power and predation. I could be wrong.)

16. 1994 Gov election + the link which was on Huffingtonpost earlier
After reading the full article I certainly didn't see any reason to break down.

http://articles.news.aol.com/news/_a/first-president-bush-sobs-while-talking/20061204194509990018

<skip>

He then broke down in tears mentioning his son, Gov. Jeb Bush, as an example of leadership and the way he handled losing the 1994 governor's race to popular incumbent Democrat Lawton Chiles. He vaguely referred to dirty tricks in the campaign.

"He didn't whine about it. He didn't complain," the former president said before choking up in front of lawmakers, Gov. Bush's top administrators and state workers gathered in the House chamber for the last of the governor's leadership forums.

<skip>

In 1994, Jeb Bush appeared to be on his way to victory. The final debate between Chiles and Bush is largely seen as the turning point in the closest governor's race in state history. But just before the election, the Chiles campaign made 70,000 bogus phone calls to elderly voters claiming to be from independent groups. Callers portrayed Bush as a tax cheat and said his running mate, Tom Feeney, wanted to abolish Social Security and cut Medicare.

"A true measure of a man is how you handle victory and how you handle defeat, so in '94 Floridians chose to rehire the governor. They took note of a his worthy opponent, who showed with not only words but with actions what decency he had," Bush said before again sobbing.

44. Yeah, but this family is like a bad penny,
they just won't go away. How much ya wanna bet that that slimy snake will try for the puke presidential nomination in '08? Because they really do believe they're entitled to such positions and they resent actually having to deal with elections; they just don't grasp how tired America is of them and how much we want them all to just go the fuck away forever. Reminds me of Peron's statement in the musical "Evita": "How annoying that we have to have elections for our cause. The inconvenience, having to get a majority! If normal methods of persuasion fail to win us applause, there are other ways of establishing authority."

8. This is a big fucking act. A big scam on the world. That nasty
old specimen is fully aware that his douce bag son has blown the cover off the family's secrets, that we all know they are the same facista bastards they were back in the 30s and 40s when Prescott was backing Hitler.

He's trying to scrape up some sympathy for the family by playing on the collective sympathies of the world. He got a BIG shock when he was told to his face that the people of the Middle East did not respect Dumya last week. This week, he's scaping the bottom of the sympathy barrel using old Jebbie "Mr. Real Estate Scammer" bush as his crutch.

Screw that old geezer. He should be, and would be if the truth was known, in a prison somewhere with the rest of his criminal family.

14. He's crying because he knows the "good son" won't be Prez
The old man is crying because Dubya has completely destroyed the family name by being The Worst President Ever, thereby making it impossible for Jeb ever to be president -- even though HW always thought "Jebbie" was the chosen one, not black sheep Dubya.

What a self-centered, self-pitying pathetic old man.

Wasn't there some where in the blubber that he says '....babs....' right before jebster comes to his aid? - afraid the old lady is going to rip him up? - Who I believe has had her neck done if the last picture I saw of her wasn't just a crazy angle.

These upity WASPY types think they have a right to dictate how the world is run. H.W should realize that his son is a 60 year old man who needs to take responsibility for himself. I have no sympathy for any of these SOB's or their media pundit whores such as Paula Zahn, Wolf Blitzer, Chris Matthews, Fox "News" Channel, and Tim Russert, etc......

They are the reason why the internet has become a force to be reckoned with.

But he has been right in the middle of so many criminal activities for this country that I don't feel one damn thing for him.

He is not crying for Jeb the Con Artist, he is crying cause the pressure is on the entire family and his little Jeb will have a hard time being elected again.

He is a Con Artist and I don't trust him for one damn minute.

He has defended everything his son has done, everything.

Incredible as it seems to me, upstarts like them and Blair make me realise how - generally speaking - we should cherish the real "old "money" people, most of whom, though they usually have an odd hang-up about money, have a real sense of honour, duty and service, in comparison.

Edited on Tue Dec-05-06 07:33 PM by TahitiNut
It's an intrinsic evil, imho. The "royal family" of England should have their wealth (ENTIRELY plundered from the labors of the people) ripped from them and have to serve in poorhouses and soup kitchens.

There is no "saving grace" that compensates for the generations-upon-generations of wallowing in the inherited wealth plundered at the point of a spear and edge of a sword. That people regard them as 'celebrities' is testimony to the Disneyfication of Kings and Princes - a complete and utter lie. The perverted aspiration of "someday my Prince will come" has kept women in subjugation for centuries.

In my view, the Bolsheviks did exactly the Right Thing to Nicholas and his gene pool. :puke:

But that's just me ... and my sense of justice. YMMV.

57. well, I did feel sorry for the kids -- being shot to death in a cellar is a really awful way to go
especially since all the family jewels were sewn into their clothes so that many bullets & clubbing and & stabbing were required to finish them off. Just a blood-curdling scene, if you allow yourself to imagine it. Especially if you've ever seen photos and film of the girls and their brother.

But otherwise, I completely agree.

66. No, it's not just you and your sense of justice, TahitNut.
I strongly suspect that we would have benefited enormously by a revoution like that of the French. So, I don't agree with Mao that it's too early to tell whether it was a success.

However, what you don't seem to grasp, and it's taken me most of a life-time to, is that virtually ALL politicians and political activists are cut from the same cloth. But the worst social climbers such as the Blairs and the Bushs are much, much worse than most - though probably not all - of the present-day scions of those murderers and looters.

I don't know if you are familiar with the medieval history of England since the Norman invasion, but if you are not, I think you would be even more shocked by the wanton wickedness and cruelty of our Norman overlords towards the people at that time. Even later. As I pointed out to a young Swiss lad who was staying with us at the time, when he marvelled at the "grandeur" of one of our Victorian, main-line, London railway stations, I was less than impressed, because I thought of the blood sweat and tears - indeed the premature deaths - of the impoverished majority, who were preyed upon so viciously to pay for such buildings. You just have to look at their house, with 150 bedrooms, to ponder the same. Then the old couples who were separated and sent to different workhouses - the so-called "undeserving poor". No, actually, I think they were regarded as the "deserving poor"!!!

However, the immediate aftermath of the French Revoution saw the rise of people every bit as wicked as their former monarchs and aristocrasts, so it has taken a long time for the benefits of the Revolution to accrue. And I believe that is the situation we would be in, in the UK, if the likes of Blair were to be made President in place of the monarch.

Despite the incessant attacks of envious media barons and their myrmidons, and merely by a stroke of random good fortune, I believe we have a royal family at present, who only a lunatic would compare unfavourably with anyone in our political class, with the exception, perhaps, of the demonised Wedgewood Benn (himself a toff).

The Tory toffs who resigned from Thatcher's government because they couldn't stomach the social anarchy and national vandalism promoted by her government, doubtless had independent means, but the fact is that they did resign rather than share in the complicity, subsequently unconscioably pursued by Blair and his putative Labour Party. The only Labourite to resign in disgust at Blair's pending policies was a New Zealander called Gould, who could have had a high post in the government.

73. I've toured the castles, chateaux, and cathedrals of France and England.
I spent time in Westminster contemplating the lot of those interred there. I remember very clearly what I felt when viewing the cathedral at Chartres from a distance, looming as it does over the surrounding farmland from its position on a slight rise with the clusters of 'common' buildings huddled around it. I had a hard time dealing with the feelings of imagining the oppression and privations suffered by the ordinary people in order to erect these European 'pyramids' in forced tribute to their overlords. While I, like many, can marvel at the magnificence of these edifices, I cannot allow myself to be unaware of the wretched inequities leading to their construction.

I have no illusions regarding the behavior of people in backlash against such forces ... or the "ontogeny of phylogeny" (recapitulationism?) that sees a repeat of such excesses. Indeed, even such movements as 'capitalism' show that private individuals engage in the same abuses as the state monopolists did before them in hoarding such entitlements to themselves. It's like generational child abuse, I think. Many centuries of human history take a long time to unlearn and alternative models are hard in coming. But those models are coming ... and 5-10 generations isn't an awfully long time to see that it's indeed possible.

Come on! It's X-mas season. Where is your spirit of man? Your love of felons? Your understanding of the need to be weepy in the face of having so much power and still being married to that thing called Barbara?

many Americans will have sympathy for this performance, no matter how the media spins it. Too much abuse at the hands of the despicable Booshies.

Everybody knows the Dynasty is finished. Politically they are dead men walking. Poppy's just arrived at the wake.

70. "It's Worse When It Happens to Rich People"
Whenever I hear the media claim that there was "such a difference" between first Bush and second Bush, I always think of a few reminiscences...

When first Bush was giving a speech to a veterans' group, I think while still running for President the first time, 1988, a group of MIA (Missing In Action) families rose up in the crowd and pleaded for help on the search for answers about their loved ones. Remember old Bush's compassionate answer? "SHUT UP!"

When the devastating hurricane hit Florida when old Bush was Pres., (Andrew, I suppose), old Bush refused to do anything to enforce laws against price-gouging, and people who had lost everything, hungry and parched, were paying, sometimes on credit cards, $9 for a cup of water, and exhorbitant rates for gas, etc. No matter how people begged, there were never any price-gouging regulations. "Fuck you poor people--you're all poor now!"

At the end of Bush's term, when Bush's poll numbers were in the toilet--just like this one's now--Bush invented a "popular war that would rally the voters," and got us stuck in one of the most painful messes of recent years, Somalia, leaving it to Clinton to deal with it. Remember the dead, tortured Americans dragged through the streets, their corpses violated? Every angle for you, Bush.

First Bush continued the horrific practice introduced by Reagan, of not doing anything to help abortion clinics when they were threatened. I remember a Phil Donahue program from that time, where clinic owners described how they would call police or the FBI to report bomb threats, etc., requesting a thorough search of the premises, and were actually told, "Search it yourself."

Of course, everyone remembers first Bush's sacred promise to the Kurds of Iraq, that if they just mounted a rebellion, we would storm in there and join them, liberating all. They were left stranded, and were tortured to death by Saddam Hussein.

George "No Regulations/No Laws" Bush the first never did anything to protect anyone's job, as mergers, moves to Mexico, and all the rest were just starting to be such a threat then and a little earlier, under the bastard Reagan. Cry for yourselves every time, don't you though, you rich, selfish bastard?

You can cry us a river poppy, but that would not add up to shit compared to the tears of one child abandoned in war by your son's criminal aggression.

Why can't the MSM get a clue???!!!
