http://lostremote.com/MSNBC gaining on CNN primetime Cory Bergman Last week MSNBC surpassed CNN in primetime in the 25-54 demographic for three nights. And on Friday, MSNBC beat CNN in the demo for the total day. “Is it an aberration, or is it a trend?” asks TVNewser. “One thing’s for sure: it’s a morale booster for MSNBC.” http://www.lostremote.com/index.php?tag=msnbc

5. Right on, SoCalDem! I think the "news" mannequins are the |

ONLY ones who give a flying fuck about K-Fed, Brittany, TomKat, Brangelina, et. al. I DO NOT CARE about these people. I don't hate them, but the obsession by the media is a sickening one. Those stories should be confined to Entertainment Tonight or something, not the #1 story on CNN. There are TWO wars going on, people are dying right and left, people are losing their jobs and their homes, a lot of work still needs to be done in the Gulf Coast area, and I could go on and on and on. And you think we care about what CELEBRITIES are doing? Hey, unless TomKat is going down to the Gulf Coast and helping clear away debris and build a home, I don't want to hear about them. Really. I don't.
IT IS NOT AN ABERRATION. Americans are not the empty-headed dolts you like to think we are. We actually care about what's going on here, and elsewhere. Get over yourselves, and give us the NEWS.

I can barely tolerate Tweety. But as soon as I hear Tucker's whine I change channels...
I like The Most, and of course, KO is a staple. Sometimes I'll leave MSRNC on when Tweety is doing his thing, but he constantly annoys me with his style.
And then there is their late night fascination with prisons ("doc block"). Yuck. Once you've seen one prison show, you've pretty much seen them all (and the child molesters too). Those segments must be cheap to produce, but really, I'd rather they switch to a penguin cam at the south pole.
And Imus... I can't understand a word he says... he just mumbles into the mike. And his group of sycophants are not nearly as interesting as Howard's (not that I get to see Howard anymore... and not that I miss him that much).
Maybe MSNBC should buyout AAR, and then we can have Imus/Stern type TV/radio shows only with interesting hosts (Randi, Rachael, Sam, and oh, get Mike Malloy back too).
I bet MSNBC could hire them all at a fraction of what they pay "Imux".

I'm sure he'll get a new one, but he's negotiating at just the perfect time. I doubt they want to lose him now.
