(New York, N.Y.) - There's word from an influential Democrat that Senator Hillary Clinton will run for president in 2008.

Attorney General-Elect Andrew Cuomo told The New York Post that when Clinton called him over the weekend, she said, "I'm really going to go for this."

Clinton also met with Governor-Elect Eliot Spitzer Sunday. She also plans to sit down with Senator Chuck Schumer this week.

2. Lemme get this *straight,* if you will . . .
.

Lemme get this *straight,* if you will . . . the wife of the ex-president who was smeared w/ an illicit sex scandal fabricated by the bible-thumping rightwingnuts to the tune of an impeachment (yes, Bill was impeached but not "convicted" thereof) actually thinks she is electable? This is the woman who has swung from "liberal" to "moderate," politically, too? And, has wavered on many issues that are embraced by the progressives of her own party? And, oh, yeah, she's a female . . . and from the northeast state of New York too.

Personally, I think if she runs and wins her party's nomination, it is a gift to the Republicans. A shoe-in to the Oval Office for them.

.

7. I think she probably knows better than you if she is electable. If she get the party nomination
I will vote for her. I like her.

8. Your name can now be stricken from the list of Hill's potential campaign workers.
They'll just have to muddle through it the best they can.

9. Her stance on the Iraq war is troubling...
she has yet to say it was a mistake to go in, which is a huge problem for me.

14. Troubling? A deal-breaker. But if at least people find it troubling, that is
good. But i think the criminal war should be called what it is.

10. Hopefully Hillary will do what his father did
Make make an 11th hour decision not to run (his dad even had a private plane at the tarmac in Albany ready to go to NH!)

12. Word from Cuomo: "you will know the absolute truth of the statement"
Edited on Tue Dec-05-06 09:41 PM by Clarkie1
"Wes Clark is a man of whom you can ask a question, and he will look you directly in the eye, and give you the most truthful and complete answer you can imagine. You will know the absolute truth of the statement as well as the thought process behind the answer. You will have no doubt as to the intellect of the speaker and meaning of the answer to this question....So you can see, as a politician, he has a lot to learn."

http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Wesley_Clark

Let's hope the best man/woman wins our vote, and not the best poltician...they're a dime a dozen.
