Watch Freeper Heads Explode At News That Baby Cheney Has Two Mommies
The ultimate in cognitive dissonance.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1749133/posts

To: SoCalPol

We're not discussing economics. We're talking about rational people like Ms. Cheney who are not capable of having a family because of her sexual and relationship choice. She took a baby from a potential mom and dad. bottomline.

I see no dignity in violating the principals set out in the bible on how to procreate a child.

I feel sorry for the Cheney family but Mary is their burden and is not for us to carry.

I believe that God may have a different take on artificially manufacturing a child.

You plea reeks of more feminazi emasculation of the already weak American male.

4. Apparently, if you're not the right kind of person, nothing yours is yours.
Including your womb.

8. That one thinks Mary can be no mom...
And daddy should have spewed in a real one instead of going in a turkey baster...

My only interest in the latest circus act are the hypocrisy and double standards being presented.

14. Why? I didn't say that everyone here was
ignorant! I said ignorant f-ers like him! And there are plenty of 'em in Oklahoma, and everywhere else (a plethora here though, methinks). There are plenty of rad, openminded folks round here too. Just not him. You gay bash, you get called for what you are in my book. I've had enough of people like him making people's lives miserable because of their sexual orientation. My mom and uncle are gay-I've grown up being made fun of for that and ignorant pricks like that guy make me ill.

6. Unlike the First Family(tm), at least the freepers aren't showing double standards.
Edited on Wed Dec-06-06 08:55 AM by HypnoToad
Well, most of them. Some seem to have no clue of the double standards being presented. :dunce:

Oh, and look at the spelling problems. For example, one thinks it's spelled out as "seman". :spray:

Dayglored seems to have a point:

I find it fascinating that many (not all) anti-gay-parent folks here on FR are willing to give Mary Cheney a pass simply because she's the daughter of a favored Republican.

He goes on to say

Mary's situation is none of our business.

(snip)

It's a shame the biological father won't have the benefits and responsibilities of fatherhood of this baby.

Of course, I disagree with him in that the media DOES have a right to talk about it. When the media trips up a celebrity's hypocrisy, I'm all for it.

As for the other folks talking about mating "the best female conservative minds with the best male conservative minds", I thought incest and inbreeding were immoral?

10. Today's Freeperism: Mary Cheney is "not openly gay"!
Edited on Wed Dec-06-06 09:31 AM by Zambero
The Freeper stated:

"I'd rather see someone like Mary Cheney who isn't out there shoving it down our throats than the openly gay ones who are marching, having parades, carrying signs & wearing t-shirts that you wish your kids weren't with you & could read, when you see them."

So, despite the well-known fact that Mary Cheney is employed by Coors Brewing Corp. as the company's gay/lesbian liaison and is often seen in public with her partner, she doesn't quite meet the criteria for being openly gay. Oh really?!? It sounds as if free expression of one's first amendment rights is the line that one mustn't step over as a member of an oppressed minority. This is definitely a "get to the back of the bus" mentality -- "Y'all just go ahead and take a seat back there, just don't make waves and keep in your place!" Ah, Freeper reactionary logic at it's finest!

11. Mary Cheney Is About As "Not Openly Gay" As Paris Hilton Is Not An
"Attention Whore." These poor Freepers are still sucking the Cheney's asses because they admire their thieving ill gotten gains. Just imagine for ten seconds what the cry would be if this were Chelsea Clinton or Amy Carter or ANY female offspring of ANY Democrat?

bringing her SO to the 2004 GOP convention, writing a book, and public announcement of pregnancy with aforementioned partner...?

Yeah, totally in the closet.

13. My favorite;
<I believe that God may have a different take on artificially manufacturing a child.>

Um, yeah. Tell that to the billion-dollar fertility industry. And explain that to all the good Christians who don't accept infertility as God's plan for them. When folks talk about accepting the Lord's mysterious ways, that doesn't included anything that adversely affects them, right?

And don't forget to call the McCaughey family in Iowa. These "deeply religious" folks went running to science when they wanted more than just 1 child. They ended up with 8. http://www.cnn.com/US/9711/20/septuplets.folo/index.html

It's just another link in the chain of hypocrisy. "Artificially manufacturing" a child is great for some, but not for others.

I hope that for the child's sake, Mary Cheney and Heather Roe have already completed the paperwork to grant some level of guardianship or visitation rights to Roe. The blessing of a baby can easily turn into a legal nightmare for a same-sex couple.

18. Piling on....
We always love piling on the Freepoids, but maybe this is a good time to remind ourselves just how dumb the Freepers are, with their tortured spelling and syntax. Whenever I post, I use spell-check, and think and review before hitting "post message". I hope I'm smarter than the Freeps, but I sure want to at least appear smarter.

Here's some gems from the Freeper thread about the Cheneyspawn.
- - - -
I see no dignity in artifical insemination resulting in pregnancy supported by some anonymous seman donar at the clinic.

I see no dignity in violating the principals set out in the bible on how to procreate a child.

I feel sorry for the Cheney family but Mary is their burden and is not for us to carry.

Of course no Rino's could be introduced but we could find a great breading stock starting with Ann Coulter and Michele Malkin.

The child might not have been conceived that way. Sometimes people know the donar and sometimes it's done naturally.

19. CNN: Social conservatives react to Mary Cheney's pregnancy
Social conservatives react to Mary Cheney's pregnancy
Focus on the Family
Carrie Gordon Earll, Focus on the Family's director of Issue Analysis

"Mary Cheney's pregnancy raises the question of what's best for children. Just because it's possible to conceive a child outside of the relationship of a married mother and father doesn't mean it's the best for the child. Love can't replace a mom or a dad. Over the last 30 years, thousands of studies confirm that children do best when they have a married mother and father. There is no reputable evidence to say children fair as well in same-sex homes. Children deserve the very best we can offer and gay adoption - by definition - intentionally denies children either a mother or a father. Adoption laws should put the needs of children first, above the desires of adults."

***

Concerned Women for America
Dr. Janice Shaw Crouse, Senior Fellow of the Beverly LaHaye Institute

"For a woman as educated as Mary Cheney to deliberately bring a child into the world who will never know a father, flies in the face of the experts' agreement that, for a child's well being, it is best (not just good) to be raised in a married mother-father family.

"Even with all her privilege, Mary Cheney will be unable to do anything about the gaping hole in her child's family. In addition, her child will be vulnerable to a whole variety of negative outcomes -- drug use, juvenile delinquency, school drop-out -- not to mention the anger and other emotional problems that are typical of children whose fathers are absent while they are growing up.

"Mary Cheney is the face of the tragic and burgeoning trend of adult women who don't want a father in the picture, but want to have a baby. Thirty-seven percent of America's babies now are born to single mothers; the ramifications for all of us are disastrous. There will be a whole generation of little girls who will look for love in the wrong places and little boys will have no role model except the bad-boy celebrities on MTV."
