This just seems to be a big act by Smirk to show he wanted the "hard line", while all along he was planning to adhere to recommendations by ISG. He didn't lose the war--ISG did.

1. It's all about politics...
unfortunately, instead of helping Iraq form a political solution for its problems, the President has formed a political solution for his problems.

"As the Iraqis stand up, we'll stand down."

That's a bunch of bullshit, because it operates on the assumption that this is a military problem, not a political one.

If Iraq was a military problem, our military would have accomplished the mission long ago.

It's just BS to keep us in Iraq, because the little fucker doesn't want to admit defeat and ruin his legacy. People are dying for his piece of shit legacy.

I reckon that the ISG jad already *told* aWol that he was to can rummy and put in gates.
since gates is a member of the ISG I'm sure he was part of their plan.

3. It is a sad situation when we have a
president who is inept, untrustworthy, borderline corrupt--I say borderline because he thinks that is a normal attitude--who has placed our country in a pit that will take years to retreat from, has to bring in outsiders and former officials to clean up his mess. We deserve better than that.

4. It's all a duck and dodge. He'll change nothing and things will get worse. His downfall.
I hope.
