Dr. Justin Frank (author, "Bush on the Couch") blogs on Poppy's crying jag:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/justin-frank/crying-time_b_35648.html

Speaking of which, Randi said Dr. Frank will be on her AAR show "at the bottom the next hour". Tune in, if you can.

One of George W. Bush's deepest unconscious wishes has finally come true - he publicly brought down his own family, particularly his father. He had been building up to this point throughout his public and private life - most famously when he told Bob Woodward that he never consulted his father about invading Iraq, and that he preferred a "higher Father." To make matters worse he wouldn't let his father speak at the 2004 Republican Convention and soon thereafter consigned him to tour the world with the man who had defeated him in 1992 - Bill Clinton.

This time, W didn't have to do anything. He has already destroyed his father's legacy of international cooperation. He continues practice what Bush 41 once derisively labeled "voodoo economics", driving America into irrevocable debt. As usual, W was nowhere to be found when his father broke down while attempting to celebrate brother Jeb's career - Jeb, who may be the real man of the family.

When Bush 41 started talking about Jeb's 1994 gubernatorial loss in Florida he wept openly, sputtering that Jeb didn't whine or complain about losing; that how a person handles victory and defeat is the true measure of a man. He choked up on the word "defeat," a word he must feel applies to his entire dynasty.

For it is not simply that W is a failure, which he is. He is also a success - he breaks things more thoroughly than any president in history. And now W has branded his entire family as failures, Jeb's defeat becoming the prototype for future family humiliations. While Bush 41 defends his firstborn, he reveres his third-born. And in his heart of hearts he knows that the firstborn has murdered not only our sons and daughters, but his family's hope for a lasting legacy of honor, courage, and real public service.

5. I think Bush 41 is also a jerk.
He got the kid put ahead of 100 other guys to keep him out of Viet Nam. No Bush cares for anyone but themselves or their own family. To hell with the rest of the world and the lives of other people. He knew Dumbya was an inept selfish melomaniac jerk addict dry drunk and he didn't give a damn about the rest of the world. Maybe if Dumbya had gotten counseling when he was a kid blowing up frogs by putting firecrackers up their butts. I hate them all. The rest of the world is for their use and the rest of us can go screw ourselves. Condescending creeps! The kids are brats, the adults selfish bastards, etc. I don't feel the least bit sorry for any of them. Not one has any redeeming qualities. I live is FL and what Jeb did with the Schiavo fiasco was outrageous. Jeb's wife thinks her poop doesn't stink. The have no moral guidance in their own lives but want to rule everyone else. I hope there's karma.

6. redeeming qualities
I think there's a Bush granddaughter that got busted in Fla for crystal meth a few years ago. She seems to be much better in the redeeming qualities department than the rest of the clan, in my opinion.

10. I think he is referring to the fact
That in GW1 the international community cooperated and participated in that war and in fact even the arab countries participated. In addition, the war cost the U.S. nothing at all in terms of money. It was paid for by other countries, notably the arab countries.

I would think that would qualify as international cooperation in terms of dealing with Iraq, which 41 has made an utter joke of.

So, that does not change the fact that the world supported it and paid for it.

compared to Lord Pissypant's clusterfuck, I can see how Poppy would be dismayed along with the rest of the world

and is dismayed that his seed isn't quite as good at it.
and somehow this is intrepreted as something positive for him - that he lies more effectively?

I don't think you mean that - but that's how I see it.

14. It gives Poppy "Read My Lips" Bush far more credit than he deserves, imho.
I don't believe any of them can feel remorse. None. Nada. All they can 'feel' is anger and frustration at being denied "their due" as supremely entitled beings. I have to go back to the Barkers to find an equivalently sociopathic family. I can't foresee EVER agreeing with any DUer who imagines them feeling guilt or regret. It'd be like pigs flying - they just ain't built that way.

21. Well said
a Psychopath DOES NOT HAVE Feelings. They are like Protein 'robots' and everything is based on how to further themselves or someone of interest.

It's amazing to normal people that someone can BE like this, but having worked in a nuthouse I can tell you the same thing I've told other people, "YOU can't THINK like them, so you will never understand their actions.."

They're crazy, and Power is their drug (though they are also the MOST Drugged family you might see in your life), and like a junkie they will SAY AND DO whatever it takes to GET THEIR FIX..

Including crocodile tears, they all pull the bullshit CRYING JAG game, when have you seen any OTHER politicians BAWL like babies so much?

But they do not have feelings at all. When the youngest daughter DIED they did not cry and mourn for weeks, they went GOLFING, and that says it all..

24. "Watch this drive."
I'll quibble in one respect - their 'feelings' are entirely self-directed. I use the model of an extremely spoiled child in his "terrible twos" - the ONLY civil behavior is that which is extracted by bribery. I.e. "What can I get out of it?"

I'm repeatedly perplexed at DUers who project onto Smirk some imagined 'thoughts' or 'feelings' - even in relishing some fictional future when he "feels bad." Never happen. No way. The ONLY way he'd suffer is being put in solitary confinement and deprived of an audience of any kind. That's the future I wish upon him and his cronies.
