13. VP chances?

I think that Feingold truly believes he can make a difference pushing progressive issues in the Senate. Hopefully, he can influence the Senate newcomers in Webb and Tester and join Bernie Sanders and Sherrod Brown as true progressive voices.

He has said that he hasn't ruled out being a VP candidate. I think it would take the right kind of candidate for him to accept the offer. That meaning for someone like Hillary or Bayh, probably not. Maybe for Edwards or Clark or Richardson. That would make more sense geographically and their political stances mesh a little better.

You have to remember that Russ is just 53, so there is still hope for him to run in 2012 and 2016.

14. What can one say -- Feingold was simply excellent

He mentioned when he said he would not run he certainly would not mind if someone like Gore or Obama got the nomination. He would be tremendous paired with either of them but I cannot see him with too many other potential Democratic candidates.

My best hope for now is that he can at least make his voice heard, as has Al Gore, and the public will be moved by the combination of his logic and intelligence. The man's mere coherence makes Bush* appear smaller by each passing day ....
