I feel like she has the money and name.
I haven't liked her as a politician, because I feel she doesn't truly represent herself honestly, just what strategists tell her...
Can Gore get it over her?
Come on, think Rocky - America loves for the underdog to come back and set justice straight.
My fear is that she winds the nomination and loses the election because too many people are too backwards to vote for a woman. People pretend to be PC, but behind closed curtains - you know what happens...
That said, if she were to win, I would support her. But I would prefer Gore.

I've always said her winning would be such sweet revenge on the right. Now I'm feeling that way about the left.

pro patriot act. Pro iraq war.
will make many democrats not like her when it becomes evident where she really stands on things.
Pro tax increases Pro single payer She's Hillary
Will make many republicans not like her when it becomes evident where she really stands on things.
She's not going to win president because republicans hate her, hardcore She's not going to win the nomination because there is no way she'd get elected and because even if the republicans didn't hate her, the democrats wouldn't prefer her as their choice.
It doesn't matter how much money she has, or what her name is, she's got no chance.
Can we all please stop?

why is she even a democrat? it's like advisors told her support iraq and support patriot act and she said "OK!"
I feel like we have no chance against money and media. THe right wants to run against her and she is being foisted on us big time...

I'm talking about big money and big media
if those things could sell the boy king, then selling us a sure loser as a candidate is a distinct possibility.
In fact, count on the right to do everything possible to stick us with a losing candidate.

19. yeah I would support her too, if she won the nomination |
|
I just don't feel she merits the nomination at this point with what she has shown so far and I think others could have greater appeal to a wider spectrum of voters. So I guess the fear is that she'll win the nomination by machinery and not by merit. And I am paranoid that the right will be part of that machinery so they can pick a loser for us.

Edited on Wed Dec-06-06 11:32 PM by Gloria
status has been resisted, because if I stay registered as a Democrat, I can vote AGAINST Hillary in the primary!
I refuse to vote for the one person who can't seem to revise her view of the original Iraq vote in light of all we know about Bushco now. Another 10 soldiers died today. Screw it, I'm not going to be manipulated by the insiders. I feel like we've been had. The Lieberman shit, Clinton buddying with the Bushes, Hillary triangulating all over the place. I want FIGHTING Dems, not triangulating Dems. And that includes the "triangulator in training", Obama.
I want substance. There are grownups in the party, but why would they want to step into the sewer? (Feingold, Clark, etc.)

|
Edited on Wed Dec-06-06 11:56 PM by impeachdubya
All this blather about the "inevitability" of a HRC nomination is just that- noise.
The same people floating it as "conventional wisdom" also thought that our nominee in 2004 had to be someone who voted FOR the Iraq War. :eyes: Turned out that piece of poop was the biggest albatross around the guy's neck.
Don't listen to those waterheads... methinks they got in in their minds that it would be cool to have Hillary a while back (or maybe they really feel that we have to make stopping flag burning our number one priority :eyes:) and they can't adapt to reality. Rush Limbaugh's fantasies notwithstanding, Hillary is NOT going to be the nominee IMHO.
Frankly, I think if Gore does get in, it's his for the taking.

I think all the talk about Hillary means that Gore MUST make a decision sooner rather than later. Otherwise this might mean that Rodham-Clinton gets nominated and Democrats go down to defeat in '08 or that Edwards or Clark get the nod as the anti-Clinton candidate and both of these candidates will also be doomed in 2008.
I think the question is Can Gore be started? rather than Can Hillary be stopped. IMO.
