Can you imagine if Bill Clinton had a lesbian daughter with child?
Edited on Wed Dec-06-06 11:21 PM by Quixote1818
The right wing would be going ballistic!!!!!!! They would have been ready to blow up the Whitehouse!!!!

I just checked out Free-republic and I didn't see any place where the story about Mary Cheney had been posted. They are just ignoring the story completely. What a bunch of Hippocrates!

On edit: I was wrong. I did find a post about it and here is a sample of what they say:

>>>To: Howlin
I'd rather see someone like Mary Cheney who isn't out there shoving it down our throats than the openly gay ones who are marching, having parades, carrying signs & wearing t-shirts that you wish your kids weren't with you & could read, when you see them.

She carries herself with pride & isn't flaunting anything. I do not approve of gays or lesbians but can accept that they have a right to live as they want, but don't push it in our faces. We do NOT have to accept it as normal & those are the kind that really bug me.

2. I am glad that the Cheney elders are
saying that they are looking forward to the little grandchild--or however it is that they said it. I am glad they are acknowledging that their daughter is having a baby. Freepers who knock gay partnerships and parenthood can be told to look at how Dick and Lynne, most conservative of neocons, are welcoming the child. Granted, many freepers have been mean-spirited bigots, but they are going to have accept the fact that times are changing.

4. That is the one and ONLY redeeming quality of the Cheney's.
You are right, they do deserve credit for that!

3. There were plenty of FR thread samples posted here
regarding the collapse of civilization as demonstrated by Cheney's bad offspring. They are having the usual cranial explosions.

6. Proof that these homophobes may be closeted?
I swear these folks almost RELIGIOUSLY cling to that tired cliche about gays shoving their lifestyle down everyone's throats.

Anyone else ever notice this? What's up with that???

9. Thank God gay people did march and demand rights, so that Mary
and her partner COULD have a baby without the a giant societal freak-out.

Granted, there is much work to be done, but Mary stands on the shoulders of all the gay people who came before her and raised some hell (whether she acknowledges that fact or not).

7. The cons still spew hate about Clinton.
On one of the forums a psychotic republican posted that he hated Clinton and thought he should have been impeached not because of the blow job, but because he was responsible for killing Vince Foster. And he was also responsible for the killing and cover up of over 100 people in his corrupt administration, trying to keep his shady real estates out of the spotlight. He also said he was personally responsible for selling the ports to China.

This is what is wrong with this country. All this is complete lies. But the republicans still believe them. And it makes you so damn mad knowing there is nothing you could do to make them stop their lies.

11. They have Clinton, we have Bush. The psychology is similar.
Everyone says that the other guys are evil liars, and our guys are fabulous.

Looks like religion to me. But WTF do I know? All I do know is that this kind of thinking has not led to much except misery and war in the past.

Peace.

13. Every time someone posts a 'can you imagine' question as you

have, hypocrisy screams out at us. Just reading your subject line causes us to compare and we immediately know the answer. Keep on asking them. Something has to knock some sense into the middle group who listens to them and to us. We need to keep providing that middle group with popping bright light bulbs. This decade with George is just as much about Clinton as it is about George because of the way the ugly right wing has treated Clinton.

But, Clinton seems to have forgiven everyone while we hold the resentment and amazement for him and others.

Yes, go for it - let's keep bringing it up for the purpose of exposure and reality. Shake them up with the reality of there craziness.

14. Even my brain can't imagine that. Maybe the RW would drop a bomb on the WH?
They would blame Clinton for every lesbian alive.
