"Will the president listen"? WTF kind of a question is that?
Sure, the nation is in total agreement, Iraq is a disaster, the blue ribbon panel has spoken, the voters have spoken, all the republicans who've awakened have spoken, but reporters still ask the amazingly bizarre question, 'will the president listen'?

Just what the fuck kind of a ridiculous question is that? Will the president listen?

What fucking planet am I on again? Oh yeah, Earth.

2. It is hard for me to believe that he has such power as to do whatever he pleases
I mean isn't there some checks and balances on the president of the US? If not, it sounds rather like a dictatorship.

5. Kings don't listen. Presidents have to.
We are acting like he's a king, who just won't listen to the people. I thought we were sort of like a democracy, and that bush worked for us, and is supposed to obey us, but hey, I just fell off the turnip truck.

You're sounding way to optimistic about the Chimp in chief raptorman my friend. Not that that's a bad thing but did you just forget your sarcasm tag this morning? ;-)

6. There used to be....
but through singing statements, the "patriot" act, a rubber-stamp Republican Congress and such, Bush himself has removed most of the checks and balances that once bridled him. He is now "the decider", and in my mind "the dictator" that you speak of. A man gone mad with power. That will soon end.

11. I believe once Congress has given him the green light to go to war, then it is all up to him. He is
the commander-in-chief. Our whole fate depends on one man's neurosis. WWIII is probably around the corner if the wrong decision are made by the decider.

13. He's never listened before and this time he really won't listen
because it's daddy's buddy trying to bail him out. This war will keep going, innocents will keep dying, until the next president is sworn in.
