I kept my 13 year old home from school today because of snow. We're watching Alan Simpson and Leon Panetta of the ISG on CSPAN, his observation to me is that Simpson is the Stone and Panetta is the Rat.
He's aware of my views but is not particularly interested in politics at this point of his life, so he's never heard of theses people before, I just thought that his observation when viewing these two characters for the first time was interesting. That he can see these people for what they are right from the git go.

those were the first words out of his head, I went on to ask how those two people made him feel.. I asked him if he felt that Simpson was a person that he would like to know. We talked a bit about a stone being cold and hard.. and indeed, some of Simpson's comments were just that. I was particularly offended by Simpsons comment about 300,000,000 Americans sucking at the government teet. Panetta, to him, came across as a rat, especially when he smiled.
I guess I just posted that because I was impressed with what he picked up about these two mens personalities and saw them as men that were not particularly good. If it still doesn't make sense, don't worry about it. It's not important.
