Let's help the repukes nominate...
A thought occurred to me this morning as I was doing my first scan of GD, we spend a lot of time debating the merits of our own candidates for the 08 nomination. I am very discouraged that the leadership is buying into this bipartisanship that is being bandied about. Since firing at our own leadership is not helpful I thought who else can I take out this frustration on. I think that we should start compiling dirt upon the repukes contenders. I know this may seem like we are sinking to their level but for a want of something better to do I think it may pay dividends for us later. Our opposition has a very good grassroots organization that writes LTTE’s and generally makes our life harder. I say we should respond in kind. Here is what I am looking for. Below is a list of repukes that have declared their intentions to seek the nomination from their party. What dirt do we have on them? I am hoping for a comprehensive list of their misdeeds both personal and political that we can use against them in a similar fashion.

Here are the contenders so far.

Sam Brownback
Rudy Giuliani
Duncan Hunter
John McCain

If I have left out anyone that has declared please let me know. Now let the mudslinging commence. Thank you for your contributions.

1. I'm hoping they go with Rudy
Just today he said we must remain in Iraq....I think the 2006 election shows most Americans disagree with him.

4. I agree.
but of all of there unpalatable candidates I would hate him the least. I read his book and have had generally a decent impression of him after 911. Despite that do we have any good dirt on him. It seems to me he divorced wife to marry a staffer. Not really damning or anything I would use against him. Is there anything besides his war stance that comes to mind?

There is no doubt he has been working the rubber chicken circuit, a la Nixon in the sixties, with an eye towards a run for President.

A contest between Sen. Clinton and Gingrich would be rum fun indeed....

3. I agree that it would be fun to watch him go down in flames
but what I was hoping for is an indictment against him. Maybe for serving one of his wives with divorce papers as she was recovering from cancer. I am not really looking for a list of who you hope will be their nominee. I am looking for dirt on those that have already declared.

5. I'm voting in the repuke primary this year...
you don't have to declare any party in my state (VA), so anybody can vote the primary. I wished I had voted against lord chimpface back in 2000, we might not be in this major pickle right now if more of us had.

7. That is a great strategy but who would you put up there.
I agree vote in the primary for the biggest jackass they put up. But can we come up with any dirt now to help poison the pool?

Yep...that about covers it. These guys are about as exciting as a pong tournament.
They've got nothin...

Not dismissing the OP's point. Dirt is essential....shouldn't be difficult to find, nor will it be long until new dirt emerges.

9. No contest. Duncan Hunter reeks the most of those four.
Corrupt, sociopathic, atrophied intellect ... someone who schemes rather than thinks.
