I'm getting bad vibes from DU. It seems like we are always complaining. |
|
Come on guys lets rejoice a little! We are in the majority again!

As soon as we won both houses of Congress, people were already bitching and whining and making demands. I was rather disappointed that there was not more time spent celebrating. We could have at least delayed the bitching until January.

We tend to be more vocal about complaints than about compliments. And you can only have so many rejoice threads. They tend to fall to the bottom after a while. Meanwhile complaining threads will always have comments keeping them near the top. Basically this format of forum tends to excentuate complaints and muzzles rejoicing. Tends to.

It's not too late to edit that subject line! How about "Come rejoice with us over here?!" A little bit of positivity is priceless sometimes!

5. DU was a lot more enjoyable before the elections last month. My guess is that we are so used to |
|
being the underdog that we haven't awoken to the idea that we are in a way the top dogs now. There is the lull between winning and when the Dem Congress convenes. I think we are filling that lull with some pretty uninteresting ideas. Me included.

6. Some people had unrealistic expectations |

They made assumptions on their beliefs and wishes rather than what Democratic candidates actually said.

Or as the Freeturds would say, "NEVAR FORGIT!!1!" <insert eagle/apple pie/grandma/WTC/pickup truck/Jesus photo>
SERIESLY! IF WE TAEK ARE EYES OFF THE BALLS, WE'LL BE HUGHLY SCREWN!

I suppose some of us, myself included, are just so deeply angered at the utter criminality and ineptitude we've witnessed over the past 6+ years.
...but I appreciate the attitude check. :hi:

13. I'll wait until there is something actually to rejoice about... |
|
sure, something good may be coming in January... but I've heard that story way to often to get suckered in yet again.
It's like that character Wimpy from Popeye trying to pick up his hat... Just when he thinks he's in reach, he kicks it further away With His Own Damn Foot.
