Call Congress. RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!!!
Edited on Thu Dec-07-06 05:16 PM by LSK
Find your Reps:

http://www.house.gov/

http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

Call them, email them, whatever.

Send them this simple message: Get out of Iraq.

Send it to them today, this week, next week, whatever suits you.

Lets just keep the pressure on them.

We can sit here and panick and worry about whats going to happen or we can make it happen like we made the 2006 elections happen.

Call Congress. RIGHT FUCKING NOW!

1. Hello? Congress. Um....yeah. Can you get us out of Iraq?
Congress: We'll get right on it.

2. That won't help.
For one thing, they already have the message from the election and this would pale in comparison.

Secondly, the representatives do not see nor hear the phone calls. Staff handles them and records them if you're from their district and give your name and contact information.

The most effective way to support issues is to:
1)Vote
2)Campaign
3)Join a large and vocal organization that can magnify your voice thousands of times over

3. I just heard Stenny Hoyer on Ed Schultz' show. He said if the
Prez doesn't change course, they will protect the troops, but defund the war effort. I understand why you are so anxious, but the Congress isn't going to do anything in the rest of today and tomorrow, and then they're out of there! The next we hear will be the new Congress being sworn in in January. Before that, no one has any power but Shrub! Hell, call the damn WH! Maybe if they get inundated with calls, someone might pay some attention.

4. They're about to adjourn, many of them for good.
It's out with the old in and in with the new time.

I would suggest waiting until the new 110th Congress begins session.

5. Absolutely right - we need to keep screaming it.
Over and over and over.

6. Bunning and McConnell never pay heed to anyone but themselves;
however, when the new Congress is around in January, my boy John Yarmuth, replacing Bush rubberstamper, Anne Northup, will listen. I can hardly wait!
