1. I Believe He's Running For Office
Wasn't his last show a couple of days ago, or is it tomorrow?

2. I don't know if he's announced a Senate run yet.
But he'll be on a USO tour after tomorrow. I thought he was coming back to AAR after that.

3. Last show of the year
but not necessarily ever (Whether it is his last show ever depends on the condition of Air
America Radio when he gets back).

Al Franken has a tradition of spending the Christmas season with the USO entertaining
the troops. He is fond of telling the story of his wife reminding him that Sean Hannity
doesn't do this, to which he responds, "That's not a fair comparison: Sean has no talent!"

7. I think it's O'Reilly he tells that joke about
He may have branched to Hannity with it.

11. No, I think I got the story wrong.
But it would still be true anyway.

and told the story about how Hannity didn't get the joke.

6. That turned out not to be true
He's doing a USO tour tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure he'll be back. He might run for the Senate in 08, and he'll quit radio then.

if someone called or emailed this Hannity fellow and told him this, adding, "and when are you going on a USO tour?"

14. Hannity also today compared Bush to Winston Churchill.
That calibrates his truthiness pretty well, I'd say.

15. Hannity claims lots of untruths- "WMDs were found," "Saddam kicked out the ...
...weapons inspectors, etc"

Why would anyone listen to him?

Everyone knows Hannity is full of shit.

If Franken leaves, good riddance. Ed Schultz kicks Hannity's ass in several markets.

19. Franken is doing a show tomorrow. Then he's going to Iraq...
...Kuwait, and Afghanistan for a week to entertain the troops, then he's on vacation for a week.

If AAR is still around in 2 weeks, Franken will probably return to the air.

20. I hope he will broadcast from Iraq! I will miss him so much!
I love Al Franken. He and I must be soul mates because we think so much alike on so many things.

And I hope he is safe there. I worry about anybody's safety there. He is very brave. Hannity does not have one ounce of Al's courage.

Godspeed, Al. We love you here. Come back well and soon.

22. He's called in during previous USO tours,
...and so he'll probably call his own show another AAR show while he's overseas.

27. God bless Al Franken. He has guts no RW talker has.
He is doing God's work, for sure.

The RWers on radio can just pound sand, as far as I am concerned. They aren't going over risking their butts.

Thank you Al. You are showing what hypocrites the RWers are through you actions, which speak louder than words.

28. I want to be one of the first to contribute to his campaign when ..
he enters his Minnesota Senate race!

I haven't always agreed with Al, but I've always appreciated what he's done for the progressive cause; and, it's great that he goes on those U.S.O. tours. I SO respect that.
